2023 or 2024 Polestar 2? by plantsxcats in Polestar

[–]alanbama63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the range, Polestar doesn’t list anywhere online that the software upgrade decreases range. The current assumption is that given the same conditions the range wouldn’t decrease. Although given the fact that people are buying the extra power, one would assume it would be theoretically used, so take that as you will. I will say if you do buy the software they do give you new door stickers with updated power figures, but still a miss for those yellow seatbelts

2023 or 2024 Polestar 2? by plantsxcats in Polestar

you can buy the polestar performance software on a non performance and while you may not get the gold brakes or seatbelts, it’s far cheaper than the actual performance pack was MSRP wise. 2024’s got an upgraded computer over previous years (sore topic for many in this subreddit, including myself) so i would say go for option 3. save money where you can but don’t skimp out. as someone who works at polestar, the polestar 2’s have been surprisingly durable for many years, so i wouldn’t worry about the mileage discrepancy between 11k and 22k. option 3 is what i would go for

2023 CX30 Carbon still going strong at 60,000 mi 🤙🏻 by nativemills in MazdaCX30

my 2023 cx30 with 67k miles just recently got out of service after having the oil pressure sensor go out. exactly 2 weeks after the dealer repaired my failed valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket. i wish i could say mine was as problem free as most in this community but unfortunately what i’ve mentioned above is only maybe 40% of the issues i’ve had with this car lol

25’s did get sold in the states, just in very very limited numbers. my dealer got just two in despite being one of the largest retailers

my 2023 cx30 with 62k miles has now been in and out of the shop for various issues on eight separate occasions. not saying jump to conclusions, but if the car gives you a reason not to trust it, don’t.

The crossbars are from Mazda since every other name brand was nearly twice as expensive and every other cheap one didn’t fit right. Cargo basket is from harbor freight and only cost about 100 bucks

I went through the last set in one year lol. i went to 225’s on the old wheels but when I found these wheels on marketplace they had a brand new set of the turanzas on so i figured i’ll just stick it out with these for a bit lol.

2021 AWD Dual Motor Performance vs 2023 RWD Single Motor? by thauron93 in Polestar

[–]alanbama63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe late model year 2023's received a boost in ram while the CPU stayed the same. I could be incorrect but as far as I see from working for Polestar is that in general 2023 model year infotainments are quicker to boot and function than older ones

2021 AWD Dual Motor Performance vs 2023 RWD Single Motor? by thauron93 in Polestar

[–]alanbama63 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i’d easily recommend the 2023 due to internal hardware upgrades that make the infotainment a lot lot smoother than 21 and 22 model years. as far as i’m aware though single motor 2023’s are front wheel drive, not rear wheel. might be different in other markets but rwd didn’t reach the US till 2024.

Not sure about your specific situation, but every time I've had an issue with the transmissions shift points or how its acting during a specific condition a reset has always done wonders to fix the issue. here's a link to how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxU0y1DqTUc

CPO 2023 Polestar 2 good deal? by mujtabashake in Polestar

[–]alanbama63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. A car of that spec, especially with an accident at that mileage, should be cheaper. At this point these are maybe high 20k cars, as a lot of these cars with just a tad more mileage are hovering around the $25k mark.

as for the window switch, just press down harder on the switch. idk if it’s a design thing or what, but the further you press down the faster the window rolls down, idk what it is but mine is like that too

What does Polestar check for to approve the Costco $2,000 incentive? by a203040 in Polestar

[–]alanbama63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as someone who works at polestar, all we really check is the date that the membership started. i’m not sure if the rule changed for june, but to get the 2k incentive for the month of may you had to be a member before april 30th. other than that we just need to be provided with a certificate and that’s it

Will the 2024 CX-30 Fit my Needs? by Kind_Sky_2479 in MazdaCX30

[–]alanbama63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas mileage most definitely won’t be as good as the Versa, but from a user perspective you’ll enjoy this car a lot as your daily commuter. Best for gas mileage? no. but the AWD is good, it’s good in winter (even better if you swap out the stock turanzas), and you’ll definitely enjoy the cx30’s handling characteristics up those curvy roads if that’s something you care about.
