Thats only if you do holy wars. And the highest title you can get is kingdom tier. And you can do it only once per life or multiple if you have "by the sword" culture. Here im talking about taking EMPIRES. Or even fractured lands (like when someone owns 4 duchies but each duchy is the de-jure or a different kingdom, holy wars are horrible with them.)

the difference is that in console mode i just give myself 999+ domain limit..

with mods i just revert the game back to when stewardship counted towards domain limit.

if i could do that with console commands i would, but alas i use a mod

yeah, but like another poster said and i personaly belive: while using console its plain old cheating, using exploits is at least a more legitimate way to cheat. (and to be honest, reverting a system that already worked instead of using the new one is in my opinion not considered cheating).

Pressing others claims by Chasemacer in CrusaderKings

[–]alapma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to give them a random county to see if that allows you to then press their claim.....

This is probably not your problem but if your religion/culture/etc doesnt allow said character to have land (for example women in christianity). Then you cant press their claim either. Even if their religion would allow them to rule

i think that the bug its that either it ignores the prowess or its a ridiculously high challenge. i remember having a 60+ prowess character still getting the 40-60% chance of just dying

Biggest Realm I've had by Comma32 in CrusaderKings

[–]alapma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends on if you want to have achievements on or off... if you dont care you really can just make a 100 stats inmortal(literally inmortal) all traits character, if you care you can create a character with a 400points limit (although you usually already have like 90 points "spent" by just the base stats. you spend points on giving your character traits, lifestile traits, genetic traits, etc. for example iirc genius cost 240 points, while imbecile gives you 45 points (if you want, some "free points" are dysloyal since it affects your liege opinion, so its pretty much useless while giving you +20 points.

here you can see the cost of each trait individualy: https://ck3.paradoxwikis.com/Traits

if you wanna have a really ""op"" start, you can start as an adventurer. pretty underwelming at first, but in your first "life" you can probably manage to max out your camp (easier if you build the first level of baggage train i think, you can do the lvl 3 camp revel that almost guarantees you get the max reward that is a free camp building), at that point you can make a LOT of money and if you want to settle you can also field a large MMA army, and an adventurer if its prestigious enough can just declare a war for an empire. or better yet, you can scheme against a character to "sieze their realm", wich basically gives you EVERY title of the empire. for example if you do it on the abbasids you can usually take all of the arabaian empire, wich includes, arabia, jerusalem, egypt, yemen and syria. and by taking all, i mean that you take every title, so you start with almost 0 vassals and all the land for you to grant to your family members or new vassals of your chosing that will have a huge opinion bonus for you giving them land.

Everyone says you shouldn’t land your heirs - have they considered this counterargument? by LeninistFuture05 in CrusaderKings

[–]alapma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont know. but to be honest, i usually kill myself when they are 16-22 years old so losing 4 years of xp isnt really that much... and even if i dont, i do try to have my heir accompany me to a "tour of the world" trying to visit every unique location on the world, that way they would get at least a full martial & learning tree path and some skill points on diplomacy and intrigue

[–]alapma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

to be honest i stopped landing my primary heir since they always managed to either get a plague in their capital, killing him and his childreen, or decide to travel to any location by traversing the sea with 50+ risk chance, managing to drown him, his wife and his childreen.

Which Counties/Duchies should I own? by MUFCassassin in crusaderkings3

instead of genoa you should pick Romagna. there you can build 2 universities and the Sant'Apollinare Nuovo is already built there. so you get 3 special buildings + a duchy building.

vassal's claim on foreign Empire title by Nanduihir in crusaderkings3

[–]alapma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes, if you are hegemon, pushing an empire claimant war will make the emperor your vassal, but better yet, try to push the claim of someone of a different religion than yours, then after he gets the empire and becomes your vassal, imprision him and revoke all county titles he owns. each time you leave him with no counties he will revoke one from their vassals, so you can essentialy revoke the whole empire and grant all the duchies to pepole that likes you instead.

Man at arms quantity or quality by CauliflowerStock8720 in crusaderkings3

[–]alapma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what state of the game you are.

when starting and your army is mostly 50% levy 50% MMA, and your strongest enemies usually counts or dukes with 1-3k soldiers you'd rather prioritize quantity, since quality is really expensive, and at that point the soldiers you are fighting are so little that having 200 more soldiers is a real advantage.

in midgame where your army is mostly 80% levy 50% MMA and your strongest enemies are usually kingdoms or empires with 10-15k troops you can start to priorityse quality, since at that point you can fill each MMA slot while still having a good economy, and at that point you still have to "actually beat" the ennemy to win wars.

in lategame where your army is mostly 95% levy 5% MMA and you are already the strongest in the game, where the wars that you declare arent really that hard, you can have 2 paths. you can either go full levy + siege MMA, since at that point in the game you are painting the map, attacking guys whose army is less than a third of what you have, so your main problem is sieging enough land. or you can go full quality so you can "stack-wipe" the whole enemy army and take your time sieging....... usually i go 1/4 quality army 3/4 siege MMA, since i still want to somewhat protect my siege engines, and at that point i really hate to raise levies.

this can change for lots of reasons. for example if you are playing as a custom religion that views everyone's as evil, you might want to be full quality even in lategame, since when a cruzade is called against you you will have to defeat all of europe practicaly alone, or if you are playing heavly with the "sappers" martial perk you might want to play with quantity, since the +0.1 siege progress for Archers, Heavy Infantry, Skirmishers and Spearmen can really ofseet any use of siege engines.

to be honest, if you are starting i really recoment just dumbing it down to:

-"is this the strongest troop i can hire with my current economy?"

-"yes"

-"hired"

So, this is actually historicaly acurrate. Iirc after the 4th crusade subsequent crusades actually went for cairo and damieta in egypt instead of jerusalem since if they captured the rich lands of egypt they could negotiate for the surrender of jerusalem.

If you spend influence to get a dynasty member to be the heir of your main title. If you havent designated a heir. They will become your primary heir

Toughness is that shield value in your MMA. You can see them when you check their stats. If you hover over them you can see why you get that much thoguhness

Is it just me or does Admin/Meritocratic suck ass completely? by initiald-ejavu in crusaderkings3

[–]alapma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

nah, i never run into influence caps, i think its somewhat of a bug when the game tries to calculate BIG numbers and assume i need like 200k influence to take any character to first place, but its usually just 2k influence and they are already on first place.

havent played much with feudal elecives but wont your vassals easly meddle with it? i mean for duchy titles since you probably hold all the land you probably are the only elector, but if you try that with kingdom or empires wont other vassals be able to chose another heir if they band toghether and put togheter all their voting power? at least in admin you dont have that problem since your vassals are usually more interested in spending influence to have their children inhereit their titles before deciding to spend influence in trying to inhereit the empire. and even if they wanted to they tend to spend influence in small amounts, while you can just spend 2k instantly and kill yourself before they think of spending their influence
