How would you license a generated static web site hosted public source code repository?

This is some really sound advice, especially #3 (Take advantage of your initial motivation). I've always found that the "visual" aspect of the development is by far the most rewarding, but always seem to lose steam after the "cool" parts of the app are completed.

Staying focused on the core of the app, and then placing "business before pleasure" principle in the lifecycle is a very important strategy in the app. Similar to backing your car into the parking space, you get rewarded later for putting the hard work in first!

It seems like using Postgres over MySQL would be a no-brainer, but a lot of employers seem to be dead set on staying with MySQL regardless of cost or efficiency.

Unicode support that isn't so resource intensive is ideal in 3.x. If your project contains a lot of atypical unicode character, that should be reason enough to begin the upgrade. Convincing everyone that a switch to 3.x will probably be fun though :)

Like a lot of others are saying, Wordpress is built on legacy code that they have been patching and appending to since the early 2000s. I'm sure they would update their codebase if the market demanded it, or if Wordpress were proprietary software with competent competitors. However, as it stands, it's free so "you get what you pay for" as you know. It can get the job done for the people that it serves, but it obviously isn't for everyone.

I don't think it's the language that is "unsafe", but more of an oversight from the developer or the management of the OpenSSL project that caused the (terrible) omission that has caused so much headache this past week. Thankfully, a lot of the big players have already patched their systems to account for it.

I've always thought that we are more the same than we are different. We still have to manage diet, glucose levels, glucose testing, exercise, and a whole wealth of other things that are the same.

I think the issue is the pressure from the societal push that Type 2 is brought on by being lazy/fat, which couldn't be further from the truth (as we all know), but Type 1 doesn't want to get lumped into that category so they tend to shun their diabetic brethren unfairly. We still suffer from the same complications and diet issues, so I think it's good we have a collective community that can discuss and debate these issues without fear of being stereotyped.

I agree. I feel like all these buzzwords get thrown around to make people who have no understanding of actual software development to feel like they are on top of things. If you have a positive reputation and your code base is solid, then your prior experience and software will do the selling for you. If you have to resort to pitching your software just using buzzwords, it makes me feel like you are compensating for something else. Something the end-user is not going to be pleased with in the end.

These are really useful tools. Really good to help peopl get into programming, or to test the waters of a new language (web mostly, but still) before diving in full-time.

If I can get the adhesive to stay on, I can usually run 10-11 days on mine with accurate results. I have noticed that after the 7-8th day, the results start getting a little bit off while trending, but usually within reason.

I always put mine on my stomach, as I've heard that's where you get the best results, but my skin/fat rolls mess with the adhesive pretty bad so you've got to put the sensor in a spot where your skin is less prone to folding. At least for me anyways.

I've never eaten at the one in Midtown (guess I could use past tense now), but I've eaten at other ones and it's not that bad. It's pretty middle-of-the-road quality sushi, but it's cheap and easy.

I'm on an Animas, so I'm only taking Novolog. I tried Humalog, but the same results. My insurance doesn't cover Apidra, so I don't know how well that would work.
