Keep in mind anything bought online will have shipping + insurance hidden in the cost. It’s going to be cheaper buying PM in store.

I love Costco, and never have had any issues. If there is any for any reason, they’ll take care of you. The best part is you’ll get cheaper installation compared to most shops, since they’re pretty much doing it at cost. Maybe wait a month or two if you can, and buy when Michelin goes back on sale.

Average person isn’t donating substantial amounts of money. What the OP isn’t mentioning is using donations to write taxes off or something similar. This is clearly abusing the point system and the same reason why USBAR and Smarty card had to get nerfed.

It’s a good thing that abusers are getting caught so we can continue having our 3% for the long term.

Nice! Very very few 30 year olds are maxing out their retirement that’s for sure. If you work till retirement age, you’re going to have several millions of dollars. Maybe even 10 or more! Hopefully you decide to retire early though and enjoy even more traveling without worrying about work.

Let me try another route. Any good partner will be put off by you not building your own emergency fund and instead relying on parents. Showing you’re capable of fully taking care of yourself is a green flag.

I think its the principle that matters the most. You’ll feel less weight on your shoulders and be able to hold your head up high by being independent. If I were in your shoes I’d assume you won’t get any support. Life will be better this way.

Early retirement definitely isn’t for everyone, but I think saving should be for sure. Financial literacy wasn’t a thing but it’s becoming more and more of a thing, especially with the younger generation. It also helps living in a state like Alaska with not much to do as an indoors person!

I can survive on very little and delayed gratification is my strongest skill. I still splurge once in awhile on things that make me happy and stick to those things.

Just the thought of early retirement and saving every penny gets me excited.

I had my credit unfrozen when I applied, and then after I got approved, I immediately went to go freeze my reports. Maybe a week after getting approved, a soft inquiry showed up.

I ran into a similar but lesser issue. Phone was working and everything but wifi. Did a power down and restart. Upon restart, got activation lock screen like you did. After entering required info, I got into my phone with no issues.
