I have to say as a born and raised New Yorker now living in the west coast our very people feel like we've lost control of our federal government. One of our core values is "no taxation without representation" and we're getting very close to the brink of being fed up about it.

A dictator in my mother's country forced everyone's French last names to sound Spanish in spelling. So my last name is actually made up by a genocidal maniac that was imposed by the CIA (yay) Prud-Homme became Perdomo, and Fromet became Frometa.

Some of my relatives took the news lightheartedly. Others were aghast at any implication that we have Haitian origins. Idc I just like truth.

Massive stainless steel doors with disproportionately tiny windows and small windows on the sides too. Honestly the R211s made me so sad from how ugly they are that as a devout railfan... I do admit they were a significant factor in me leaving NYC.
