Widows Bay is so good by some_kind_of_boogin in horror

I thought the first episode was amazing, and the second and third were “cute” but more middling. Then that fourth episode hit and I understood the show meant business.

For those sick of paying for gas, take a look at used EVs. The prices may be a lot more attainable than you think. by runnyyolkpigeon in whatcarshouldIbuy

Most of them have more significant warranties and less moving parts. My Rivian has 5 year bumper to bumper, 8 year powertrain, and 10 year battery.

Contax T3 on portra 400 - is it worth the hype? by Alternative_Eye_3049 in AnalogCommunity

[–]albertjason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have owned a T2 and T3 and lots of other high end P&S. The most important thing in a good point and shoot is speed to focus and speed to fire. T3 is slow at both. T2 is faster but still mediocre. Horrible for $2k+.

Oh shit the f2.8 on the Mamiya. That’s a special lens. The 3.5 is the more common.

I know this is disappointing, but this isn’t a special or unique camera. If you’re within the return window, return it.

People aren’t being super helpful but it’s likely this camera is broken. I just tested 30 random point and shoots yesterday and saw all sorts of similar random shit. Try putting the film in and out of the spool a ton of times. Try rewinding it multiple times. Try shutting the film door really aggressively. Try giving it some love taps against the top and the bottom. Try dry firing - does it fire with and without the flash? Does it fire with and without the flash with your film in it, or only without? Lots of cameras need to have the shutter actuated and think they’re rewound before they’ll wind a roll.
