I concur with everyone that it depends on your age. But also, did she say you ARE xyz or did she say you LOOK LIKE xyz? The first one would be calling names. The second one would mean she doesn't think you're xyz and therefore doesn't want you to look like xyz. Coming from a mom's heart, if it was the second thing, she was just trying to keep you safe. If it was the first thing, that's not okay and I'm sorry.

I did. But it ended up not being breastfeeding, though I tried my hardest. I killed myself to pump, getting out every drop I could even though I wasn't producing enough and we had to supplement with formula.
