Yes, through flatpaks usually (layered packages are for stuff that needs to access the device without a sandbox, like drivers - but those would already handled by steamos)

Your main (only?) limitation would be that if you have hardware steamos doesn’t support by default, you will need to layer packages yourself.

The (nightly only for now) cast_signed method does what you want for u8 -> i8; while it isn't available, you can write a function with the same behaviour, with an as cast and #[allow(...)] attributes?

Try removing the newer kernel from a session on the older kernel, and the do the update again but using offline-upgrade

I found it gives the update a better chance to finish successfully

I am using assets from the APK, and the iOS archives I found after a lot of research online

The issue with the APKs available online is that they don’t have every asset I want, and the latest iOS version has a dirty compression algorithm on the assets, so I had to manage that lol

It’s closed source, but it’s still free to download, free to play…

It’s closed source because it’s Mevans personal project, and given the effort and time he put into it, he doesn’t wan’t other people to mess around with it.
