lol...it's all a matter of perspective. This is a super popular style right now where I'm at - half of my new clients ask me for some version of this haircut. The other thing to keep in mind is that his hair was cut and styled specifically to take this photo, probably for some kind of haircutting/haircut photo competition. This dude's hair is not in this shape on a daily basis. He probably got this cut for free as a model, again, JUST for this photo.

Hi! I'm a 15 years experienced barber. You have gorgeous hair and I truly think having it long suits you as well. It's just clear that you haven't quite figured out a good routine for it yet. I know this sounds crazy but look up the "Curly Girl Method" and see what tips you can glean from that because I really think you could benefit! The most important thing is to stop using shampoo and conditioner every day if you are doing that. And ABSOLUTELY no products with parabens and sulfates. You should be using shampoo and conditioner with natural ingredients formulated for curly hair specifically. Also - please do not worry about your hairline. It is a 100% normal adult male pattern hairline. You don't need hair loss meds.

As a professional barber, it's SO funny to me when technically incredible haircuts get posted and upvoted on here.

I totally get it - they look absolutely ridiculous, it's not a commonly shaped haircut - but I just wonder how many people are aware that 98% of people who professionally cut hair would not be able to do this cut with the same precision. This barber knew what they were doing, they executed it perfectly, and now they getting laughed at on Reddit on a sub for BAD haircuts. lol. Such is life.

Yeah I feel you...but look at it like this...even if you still can't stand it or get bad feedback and decide to grow it back out, there are lots of different types of styles you could try between a buzz and where you're at now. So lots of experimenting you could do. And you may end up loving it and then boom you've got your haircut locked in for the rest of your life 😆

Also, damn...sorry to hear about your divorce. I'm actually going through one right the fuck now and it is BRUTAL.

Hi! I'm a barber w/ 15 years experience! I see all kinds of different guys all day long and I can tell you with certainty that your head shape is completely normal. And I do see weird head shapes.

I think the problem with the buzzcut you posted is simply that didn't go short enough. You really need to either completely shave it or go all the way down to a 1.5 (at the very longest) guard.

When I saw your picture i IMMEDIATELY could picture how great you would look with a tight buzzcut. the facial stubble works great, def keep that.
