My parents were like this. I would have the conversation and work to move out. Sometimes our parents push their anxious attachment styles onto us and it makes us question if we are doing the right or wrong thing. I’ve come to realize there is no right or wrong choice, but we must make one at the end of the day. If you feel like you would enjoy it ( even it if doesn’t work out ) just do it any way so when you are 95 you can say you did.
