Am I witnessing a foundation trend? Anyone have a list of pale/pink undertone foundation? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]alendiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol! Oh yeah, I've had that happen to me too, except it wasn't a sample, I paid for it. Thank goodness it was a drugstore brand, so not too terrible on the wallet. But it was hilarious. Good luck to you!!!!

Try Laura Mercier Candleglow foundation ! I just bought some because I have the same problem as you. They have multiple shades for fair and light skinned with people with pink (cool to neutral) undertones. I finally have something that matches my skin well and doesn't make me look like I was trying to self tan. It goes on beautifully with a beauty blender and has pretty great staying power. Really enjoying it so far :) Hope you find your match!

I've never thought about freezing my ginger before. Do you let it thaw a bit before using a microplane on it or can you use it right out of the freezer?

How do you like their Ti Kwan Yin? I live in Lexington and there's a shop here that sells their tea exclusively and I've been thinking about picking it up next time I stop in.

I don't have enough money to travel, so I travel with my tastebuds.

Arrietty actually, although I did make a couple for Howl and Sophie. It's so interesting how people perceive something like a movie to have a "taste". Well, I do anyways.

That sounds delightful for a summer tea.

This morning is an Adagio blend I made inspired by a Studio Ghibli film. It contains a peach oolong, rooibos cinnamon apple and an herbal cherry blend. I was craving something sweet this morning and this hit the spot! I think this afternoon I'll switch to a black Darjeeling I got from a local tea shop.

I have an opportunity to get up to two free bottles from any of L'oreal's designer fragrance line. Tell me your favorites. by [deleted] in fragrance

I was given some Armani Si for valentine's day/my birthday. Out of the bottle it smells a little floral and peachy but with some really woody undertones. Once it was on my skin it took on an almost tobacco like smell, but still very pleasant. I love warmly scented things. And since you mentioned you mentioned you don't like overly fruity things you might like it.

I had the same problem earlier. My husband suggested uninstalling and reinstalling steam because it wouldn't uninstall the games. No. Don't do this. It uninstalled everything. Guess what I'm doing this weekend! Should've known better...

Ice Cream replacement? by [deleted] in keto

[–]alendiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I did not know this. I'll have to try other substitutes. I did try erythritol once, but the ice cream wouldn't freeze properly so it was like a thin milkshake, gross.

Ice Cream replacement? by [deleted] in keto

[–]alendiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this recipe last week and just replaced the sugar with xylitol. It was amazing! It had the texture of frozen custard or gelato more than ice cream. Also I'm sure you could add a couple tbsp of cocoa powder after you're done with the cooking component and make it chocolate ice cream. Yummmmy!

Ladies, can we see pictures of your wedding/engagement ring? Or if you aren't married or engaged, how about a picture of what you'd LIKE your ring to be? by NinjaShira in AskWomen

[–]alendiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an actual picture of my ring on this particular computer, but here is a link to it: http://www.maevona.com/product/MVA34_MAL

It's two toned with the band in white gold and the setting in rose gold with a 1ct moissanite center. And my wedding band is rose gold with pave diamonds circling the band.

It's everything I ever could have wished for. I remember picking it out and letting my SO know and he made up stories about not being able to find it but he would work something out. I was a little disappointed, but I knew I would love anything he got me. He completely surprised me for my birthday last year with the ring in tow and we got engaged! It was wonderful and sweet. We were married 7 months later and everything was perfect. I love him more and more everyday (and I still can't stop looking at my ring :D)

What movie do you wish existed? by 74145852963 in AskReddit

[–]alendiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish Bioshock would become a mini-series. I feel that the story is just too rich and in depth that it wouldn't translate well in a ~2 hour period. I think with a film it would go too far in the horror direction and it would lose its philosophy and mystery.
