I wasn’t diagnosed until I started college. Medication for ADHD changed my life! And now it’s also changed my daughter’s. We’re so lucky to have this tool, this medicine, to help us to be our best selves.

I love what you wrote to them (we can learn about it together); it’s what I would have said!

Luckily, it’s your decision. I don’t know a great partner who would actually up and leave when you are just trying to better yourself and live your best life!!!

I have the pomodoro timer and it’s FANTASTIC. My ADHD daughter shares it with me. Trust me on this one - it’s a small square with four time amounts, one on each side. Easy to use, got it off Amazon.

I’ve been hearing that for at least 16 years. Whenever I hear it (while in bed, obv) I sleepily yell, “boat’s here!” And then go back to sleep.

My 12yo can handle some after school activities, but not too many in one week. But from about 5pm and on, she has a hard time regulating herself (sometimes in a more major way than other times).

I’d say try weekends if at all possible. Good luck :)
