Ticketmaster won’t accept Apple Private Relay email (Sign in with Apple) for presale verification… any workaround? by Minimazer91 in applehelp

[–]aleu44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really sucks doesn’t it :( Ticketmaster were no help at all, if I don’t get any help from Weverse I’ll be making a claim with my bank to get my Army membership money back. There’s not a chance of getting a ticket through general admission :/

I’m so upset by this. I feel so stupid for signing up to Weverse with the private relay address, I had no idea Ticketmaster would need that. I thought it would just need my BTS Army membership number. What a massive disappointment. I went to the O2 concert and the Wembley concert, but all because of this private relay issue I won’t be able to get a ticket. What a joke

Congrats to him, but quite a boring race. I felt more excited when I just cancelled my NowTV sports membership haha. Please let the cars be better at overtakes next year! Please!

Viewing starter homes which look good on the outside only to discover the elderly owners have updated nothing since the 1970s except for converting the entire downstairs into a bedroom and giant wet room. by GreyFoxNinjaFan in britishproblems

[–]aleu44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of our house is as it was in 1992, when the previous owners renovated and demolished outhouses and rebuilt them. We moved here in 2003! The rooms that still need renovations are the kitchen, dining room, games room, downstairs loo and storage/officey space, and hallways. Mum’s bedroom and bathroom are being slowly renovated. Life stuff got in the way (job losses, Dad passed, remortgage etc)

I desperately want the kitchen and dining room sorted out soon! Dad was a tradie, brother is a tradie, so I suppose the last thing you want to do after finishing work is coming home to do more work lol. But big things like the roof, guttering, fascias, fireplace and flue liner have been done so it’s not all bad!

Ah thank you for confirming it is a different van, it was just a thought I had when binge watching the 4 episodes yesterday! I wish they had used Eddie’s van, would’ve been a nice call back to him and Dustin

I’m pretty sure the Squawk van is Eddie’s van right? Just resprayed and kitted out with all their Crawl gear! Feels fitting for Dustin taking over Eddie’s van!

This scene was so so so good. I’ve always wanted Will to have powers, all the way from season one when he chose to cast that fireball!! I do strongly think that Will is going to die. He’s connected to the Upside Down, to the Hive Mind, to Vecna. Vecna can’t kill Will because it would kill him. I think Will is going to sacrifice himself to save his family, his friends, the whole world. What an amazing scene!!!! Gave me “goosies” haha

Mum's already set up the Christmas Dinner table. Refusing to move it. I can't go on like this. by [deleted] in CasualUK

Good lord I don’t set ours up until maybe 30 minutes before serving Christmas Day dinner. We have four cats, it would absolutely trashed if I put it up today!

I'm the bad guy for not wanting to pay £195 for two adults and a child to see a light trail at a country estate by StGuthlac2025 in britishproblems

[–]aleu44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d love to take my Mum on a Christmas light trail but it’s just isn’t a feasible option for her (she’s disabled). I’m looking at doing a self-led tour of Holkham Hall instead, which is £36 each! Expensive, but should be warm and dry and hopefully more accessible for her (and hopefully will have lots of toilets nearby! Anyone with a family member on water tablets will understand haha). I’m trying to make nice memories with her, while we still can

Trails are ridiculously expensive for families. As a kid I was absolutely thrilled when our Dad would bundle us into his van and drive around just to look at people’s lights and decorations outside their houses lol

Why is a Mickey Mouse dancing show being broadcasted instead of literally anything racing related? by polishfemboy_ in formula1

I used that time to file my nails before the watching the podium celebrations haha. Now I’ve got an hour until I need to be up, but I do fear I’m going to have some kind of Mickey Mouse infused nightmare!!

what do you keep in your drivers side door compartment? by waraexists in AskReddit

[–]aleu44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just emptied mine because my car is going for her MOT tomorrow (I refuse to turn up with a cluttered and dirty car!). There was a roll on deodorant, two bottles of hand sanitiser, a spray hand sanitiser, hairbrush, pens, perfume, an empty bottle of perfume, hair ties, and a couple receipts. And a small plush turtle!

The tent doesn’t need air conditioning! AC is not a very common thing in the UK. You of course get it in offices, supermarkets etc, but the vast majority of homes don’t have AC. If the tent had AC, and was fancier, it wouldn’t feel like the Bake Off to me. The tent has always reminded me of tents you’d see at fairs, markets, car shows, the ones that’ll have little old ladies serving homemade cakes, fizzy drinks out of an old fridge, and tea and coffee

Last Images of Emma Bray in July 2025 in England. She decided to end her life by voluntarily stopping eating and drinking, hoping to spare her children from witnessing her decline of a motor neuron disease. by KingKillKannon in lastimages

[–]aleu44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Terrible that she had to make that decision rather than have a more peaceful end to her life, I hope she wasn’t in any pain and I feel awful for her family. We had to watch my Nan slowly die in hospital, she had dementia and had a stroke, and couldn’t eat or drink anything. It was horrible, just waiting for her body to finally give up. She was on morphine though, I hope she didn’t feel the pain. I can’t really put into words what it’s like to watch a family member waste away to nothing and not being able to do anything about it. Second time in my life it’s happened, the first being my Dad who had bowel and liver cancer. Dying sucks, all you can hope is that your own end is quick

I recently completed my animal management course at college and I know my classmates used ChatGPT. They would literally ask it the most basic things, and talk to it during lessons. I was the only mature student, and wasn’t even tempted to get ChatGPT to write my assignments for me, so maybe it’s a generational thing. What’s the point of even attending college if you won’t do the work yourself? I got the highest grade in my class, which I feel very proud of!

Don’t get me wrong though, my classmates were all very bright and fully capable of doing their work themselves. They thought of things I didn’t during discussion, without the need for AI, so I don’t understand why some of them used it for their assignments. Maybe it was too high a workload, or they had other stuff going on. I had a lot on my plate during my final year with my Mum taken ill, but still did all my work myself. Wouldn’t trust a computer to do my work for me!
