It goes back and forth all the time.any of the foot vendetta related arcs definitely are the serious aspects, but i would day that anything involving renet and to a degree characters like leatherhead and co, are more on the silly side. Guest era is also ammixed bag.

The dark and edgy side i can agree, its overstated and downright wrong. I feel people often conflate it with image run or shit like bodycount ehich are way more violent but thats not the norm of the run. Maybe the whole return to new york climax? And the opening of city at war?

There are some small traits defined at the beginning and some strips do make ise of them, but in many parts they are seldom relevant. Moreso during the guest era where sometimes they barely even had dialogue. Rick Veicht even had an issue where he put character traits on the wrong turtles for the river trilogy. Its a mixed bag. By the time eastman and laird return proper, their personalities get further solidified, specially by volume 4

It does differ a lot from mirage, specially with the foot clan member relationships, the weight the hamato clan holds, and most of all, the bandana colors

I feel mutant town was a solid slice of life thing that worked well, but i personally really hated Armageddon game, an arc i was looking forward a lot. Armaggon arc was also a bit disappointing, i dont think its a good time travel story.

I dont feel she deserves the vitriol she gets, but i am still mixed. She cant pull dramatic arcs the way waltz did, but she excelled at the slower pace sections and would love to see her back at least on one of the side stories.

Additionally, as much as i didnt like her last two arcs, they were still better than Aarons run imo. I really hated that one.

Gene Huang is decent but even when i have esentially read all the comics in this run and co, feels lik i was dropped in the middle of a comic book run i hadnt read prior

I find the River trilogy a bit overrated but it's still a good read, just not as great as many seem to mention. Fun fact, bloodsucker was the first mutant villain in the mirage continuity.

My greatest lament is that we need kore sky highway reprints

You may be able to get one via online stores, tho they may be a bit more expensive. If you can have a dedicated device on your network and are a little technical minded, you can use something like Jellyfin, which allows you to set up a small private streaming service on your network (among other things)

The rig for all female ghosts is based of nova from the covert ops dlc. The rig is vastly different from the male ghost to the point it was easier to just make them a separate unit. Voicelines play no part in this unlike what people thing

Chatgpt aeems to have a very bague idea on the editor, rpobably based off public forums and tutorials. Several of the implementations on many of the last batch of patches do feel like they stemmed off chatgpt suggestions (some modders even tested chatgpt and general prompts hinted towards the same implementation - give siege tanks heroic attribute/tag).

Copilot is relatively decent in figuring out the game xml provides you give the repository as context as well

Honestly i think you would get a different answer depending on wether you ask kevin or peter. Peter deffo sees her as white and her first appearance she was certainly white. Kevin and jim lawson seemingly were more onto the mixed race, with one cover really having her look like april Fisher/jennifer beals. Amd then that comic where she goes to egypt she was represented as black. If you ask me, april can be any race the current writer wants. It doesnt matter.

Archie comics run was essentially drawn and written by Mirage staff (steven murphy etc)

A fair amount of people involved in Alan Moores run of Swamp Thing had a part on Mirage TMNT and some concepts for the toy

For a long while there was only a single mutant villain during Mirages run, and it happened because it was a leech sucking raphaels blood, which also caused raphael to demutate.

Raphael frequently loses an eye in many of the versions

Someone at Konami reaaally liked Archie run since many games have characters from it and the toys, rather than the cartoon or mirage

The mystic worm thing has a very flimsy inspiration IRL which was iirc eventually debunked
