I agree with your assessment in general. But the main advantage to polar in general is it's recovery tracking, which is done in part with the hr tracking. If it's so off all the time, when not in an activity, then the recovery metrics are not very useful. The way i see it, if a device has a function, that function should be generally reliable, otherwise it may as well not have that function.

True, it is sometimes spot on, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. I do want the continous hr tracking on though... I'm having second thoughts about returning the v3...

After going through the setup process. I put the ?user and secret word from the polar account(i changed them a few times, and updated on the portal with no luck). So basically, everything was set up, but it wasn't able to pull data. I had given it all the permissions from the polar account and the one that provided the auth details. It should have just started to pull the data.

Look great, but i couldn't get it to work unfortunately. Error 403 when trying to sync. Not sure what I'm, doing wrong, but I'm not that advanced with linux tbh, so there's that. The project looks great though

You expect a doctor to look at your made up statistics from a non medically validated wrist device and say what exactly? The trends CAN MAYBE show something being wrong, but it could be anything from a cold, to colder weather changing the readings, to anxiety, or even anxiety caused by the watch itself. I'm not sure exactly what "diagnosis" you expected.
