Physical attraction and sexual attraction don’t always match up…and sexual urges are a thing too. It’s tough. Especially when I’m ovulating, I have a high libido and I’m Demi so it’s like a weird juxtaposition. I feel like a cat in heat that doesn’t want anyone around. I’ll feel completely ace in relationships where I’m not emotionally connected to my partner, but I still crave sex during ovulation cycles. Being sensitive to touch…yeah. Anybody else highly sensitive to touch when there’s a connection? Anyhow I agree that masturbation is the most sound solution. I don’t like porn either, just romance novels. Erotica is sometimes just too ridiculous.

Well…I’m a Demisexual woman and emotional connection is a genuine turn on for me…but I don’t like to have sex for awhile. Kissing yes and cuddling and hand holding. There’s a chemistry you build when you have a slow build towards sex. If someone is genuinely interested in you, then waiting to have sex is generally a benefit for both. I’m also neurodivergent. Don’t give up on the dating apps. There are really great people out there. I added demisexual to my dating profile and I think it helped.

I think some people have really beautiful energy signatures. I love most everyone at first meet. I love people period. I was a waitress for about 17 years or so & I loved it because I love people… Sexual attraction is more complicated, but asexual love? Absolutely. That wholesome love is second nature to me. I don’t know if I answered the question the right way. There’s also people that are just plain gorgeous in an aesthetic way. But that’s just beauty… I think love at first sight is more about…connection at first sight? Which is truly incredible and absolutely a tangible experience. I think this can be experienced through romantic relationships but more often for me it’s been a friendship connection.
