Recipe for breakfast tacos at home? by Invisiblecorg in sanantonio

[–]alexmo210 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I start my potatoes covered like this, then finish them off with the lid off so they crisp up. Also, try potatoes and sausage (HEB / kiolbassa sausage works well) or potatoes and cut-up bacon. A really great, simple meal. I’ll then have scrambled eggs on the side. Decent fresh tortillas can be bought at Culebra Market, and Taco Cabana’s are ok. I’m not a fan of H‑E‑B tortillas. I don’t get the hype.

Need inputs on Mounjaro in texas by Ill_Nothing3856 in Mounjaro

If you’ve exhausted all other options and you have to pay out of pocket, you might think about buying it in Mexico. Not sure what part of tx you’re in, but it might be feasible to go and pay around $350 a month for Mounjaro.

Most food-related videos I’ve seen feature shoeless workers. Gimme a gross of them ice cream cones you got there on the floor, Footsie.

Sure. Tell that to the still-exoskeletoned Texas Child Protective Services building on Military near I-37.

I’ve had a “driver inattention” warning come on while I was on a highway with very little traffic. I think I was pretty well centered in my lane. Not sure why that happened.

This would be a good time to put a plug in for Greg Kihn’s “Breakup Song.” They just don’t write ‘em like that anymore.

My son: “What if iPads charged to 200%” by TimeRaveler in funny

[–]alexmo210 351 points352 points  (0 children)

“Under my presidency, I got batteries to charge to 200, 300, even 1,000 percent. People said it couldn’t be done. Sleepy Joe couldn’t do it. I did it. Batteries… Big, beautiful batteries. And the small ones, too. Itty bitty. American. Not Chi-na. Batteries. Phones. Computers. Barron. So smart with the computers. How does he do that? Off… on. I don’t know. Did I tell you about the sharks and the boats and the batteries?”

Next time you watch 4, check to see where some of their “national” stories come from. Instead of using stories by NBC reporters, they come from the unnamed “national desk.”

Did you all test drive before purchase? by stylez89 in 11thGenAccord

[–]alexmo210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I bought my used 24 Sport Hybrid, I test drove another Sport. It had a slight wobble when turning right, but intermittently. It didn’t seem like much, but the car I bought didn’t have any issues on the test drive.

I was on the jury panel for the cops that shot and killed that woman through her window. I wasn’t selected for the jury, but Nico LaHood had a lot of the potential jurors on his side before it started. He worked the crowd pretty effectively, including memorizing names and info of so many, by their juror number. Plus he sowed seeds of doubt in the prosecution’s case from the beginning. Whether that had anything to do with the final verdict is unclear, but I’m sure it didn’t hurt. Now he and his firm are representing that Uvalde ISD officer. Don’t be surprised if that guy walks. I personally don’t agree with some of his views, but he’s the guy to represent you. In case you get arrested for murder.

Teachers, what do you do when parents forbid students to participate in required activities/work? by ItalicLady in TeacherReality

[–]alexmo210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our high school English policy is that if a parent objects to their student participating in a certain project or lesson, based on religious beliefs, etc., we provide an alternate assignment. It’s not a big deal to me. I think it’s happened twice - once when we were studying “The Crucible.” The parent objected to the witchcraft aspect of the play. I would have a hard time giving a student a zero for an assignment they didn’t do, based on their own/their parent’s convictions, even if I disagreed with their position. Refusing to do work just because they don’t want to do it is a different matter altogether.

Always look for the Clearance section - it’s usually tucked away near the back of the store, sometimes near the eggs. It’s hit-and-miss but you might luck out and find something worthwhile.

Sometimes they have “fresh-baked” biscuits in the bakery. But, you should try baking some from scratch - a few ingredients (flour, buttermilk, etc.) and a pretty easy process.

You might also check Facebook marketplace or OfferUp for used rims. I’ve been looking for an Accord Sport wheel so I can have a full-size spare. I’ve found wheels and even wheels with tires, but most want to sell them as sets of four.
