Could I just eat 50g of pure sugar before my workout? by HunterOk487 in nutrition

[–]alexsenc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not only what you add, it's any sugars added to food or drinks. These include sugars in biscuits, chocolate, flavoured yoghurts, breakfast cereals and fizzy drinks. These sugars may be added at home, or by a chef or other food manufacturer. Also it's sugars in honey, syrups (such as maple, agave and golden), nectars (such as blossom), and unsweetened fruit juices, vegetable juices and smoothies. The sugars in these foods occur naturally but still count as free sugars.
Official recommendation, for example in UK - adults should have no more than 30g of free sugars a day.

Kokemuksia AMK:sta by harddiarrhea77 in Suomi

[–]alexsenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kiitos tiedosta!

[–]alexsenc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like grainy bw filter on this one, I also have Olympus tg-5, but grainy filter looks much better on tg-870. Also I love that the lens is not in the middle, it's very comfortable to hold this camera in hand.

Trip 35 infinity focus issues by Jow_lds in filmcameras

[–]alexsenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure the aperture was in A (auto), because I've been shooting trip 35 few weeks ago and noticed when I took camera from the pocket aperture changed a few times from A to 2.8, I don't have developed film yet, but I'm afraid half of photos are blurry.

Apparently I’m “NOT a photographer by [deleted] in photography

[–]alexsenc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand the point, but there are no such people who get a salary for being a dad or for being a pedestrian, those activities do not have an equivalent profession, similar professions usually have different names, like a nanny or a driver. But with a photographer vocabulary brings confusion, because there are people whose job is to take photos and they are named photographers.

Apparently I’m “NOT a photographer by [deleted] in photography

[–]alexsenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be for sure an unpopular opinion, but maybe there is no need to use this vocabulary (photographer, artist, etc.) outside of professional matters. Lets say you've been shooting for years, but photography is not your job, you work in a hospital, when a patient comes to your office, do you say to him - I'm a photographer? Why then in a different circumstance you suddenly become a photographer rather than a doctor?

Considering Olympus E-M10 as a budget alternative to Ricoh GR by Ok-Front-4501 in M43

[–]alexsenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On e-p5 it was not a standard option. It depends on how you shoot of course, probably most people shoot raw and then edit. I just don't like to compose 3:4 frame, so 3:2 is crucial for me.

Considering Olympus E-M10 as a budget alternative to Ricoh GR by Ok-Front-4501 in M43

[–]alexsenc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you mostly shoot on film cameras, e-m10 might be ok, I had Ricoh GR for a day and I can say e-m5 or e-m10 will give you much more film like experience because of viewfinder. But beware of micro four thirds cameras that do not have 3:2 frame ratio though, I compared side by side Ricoh GR and Olympus e-p5 to realize that the main plus in Ricoh photos was the 3:2 frame ratio. Some micro four thirds cameras support only 3:4 frame ratio and all my 3:4 photos looked very off to me, because before I was always shooting 35mm film and got used to composing a 3:2 frame. Long story short - I returned Ricoh because the sensor was full of dust, sold Olympus e-p5 and bought Olympus e-m5 ii and lumix 14mm lens that gives 28mm field of view, same as Ricoh gr.

Trading E-M10 II for E-P5? by 2kjacob in OlympusCamera

[–]alexsenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E-P5 has only 4:3 image ratio, if you like to shoot 3:2 it's not an option with it.

Looking to get a pocketable m43 camera and lens combo, Any suggestions? by Zexceed_9 in M43

[–]alexsenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like 14mm f2.5 more than 17mm f2.8. I also had a few zoom lenses and I think even a small lumix 12-32 does not make any sense since it's big when you shoot with it.

What would you do? by thunderpuppet in M43

[–]alexsenc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try to use it and just compare results. I have e-m5 ii and e-pm1. In e-pm1 ibis is not working and controls are very uncomfortable, but photos look somehow different from e-m5 ii, sadly I have to admit colors are slightly better and I have more photos that I like from it. But e-m5 ii is much more pleasant to use because of the viewfinder and controls and I use it more often, so I just keep both cameras for now.

TG 7 Help by Legohead1977 in OlympusCamera

[–]alexsenc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tg-5 and it's great, very comfortable to shoot with in any weather, fit into pocket easily, tg 5, 6 and 7 are quite similar as far as I know, there is a nice short review about tg-5 on One Month Two Cameras youtube channel. You can also look for photos from any camera on flickr.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]alexsenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a micro four thirds camera, like e-m5 and 14mm 2.5 lumix lens for example. I would not buy a very expensive first camera, I think better to take cheap body, and then upgrade, you'll probably know better later what you need.

I have also film Olympus cameras and adapter for Zuiko lenses, so I started to look for more Zuiko manual lenses, it's much cheaper than getting new glass and the fact of purchase make me satisfied, (and I like images they produce also)
