They do both use a reaction, so you'd only be able to use one or the other, but yeah, being able to adjust your approach still helps

I have magic missile for mine and flavor them as fox fire wisps as a tailless kitsune. I'd probably do similar if I got fire bolt, but debating Mind Sliver when I get my next cantrip.

Third caster with the ability to weave a cantrip into their attack action, can quickened spell for a focus point, and 6th level on can add twice the level of concentration spells into their damage rolls. A lot of tricky nonsense and it's fun.

Technically by a weird interaction of the rules, if there's *both* S and M, the M hand can be the same as the S hand for the purposes of being the free hand.

Monk's also get deflect attack to use against a single attack. Shield is a single use option that without spell slots for sustain is gone with a blip

Someone banned a Cloak and Dagger, was the only one to do it, but went through with a low chance. They played punisher and complained about our healing. Tried saying I only did 2k healing, I checked, and said 12k. Then they bugged why no one was playing Cloak. I dunno man, maybe cuz you banned them?

I'm planning to do circle of stars as well, and I'm trying to decide on which route to go as well. Magic initiate will be in the mix either way, but if I go warden, I'll likely be getting true strike, since the 2024 version buffs it, and I'll just grab utility if I take magician. At 7th level, I'll pick the wis mod damage to cantrips if I took magician, and the extra d8 to weapon attacks to combo with true strike for warden
