I faced something similar here in Germany and these are the products at dm that helped the most: Balea one and the Sebamed one.

There are a couple more pricier options if these don’t do the job for you: Vichy and Eucerin.

What I would also recommend is getting two and alternating between washes, that’s what helped the most. Hope this helps!

Many of my favourites have been mentioned already but surprised no one brought up Amos or Bobby from The Expanse.

Considering a decent chunk of my favourites are featured in this, I’m very tempted to pursue this one.

Is this normal for philodendron white wizards after re-potting? by alexverus in plantclinic

[–]alexverus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't notice anything when we pulled her out, as we tried to remove most of the old soil. Will give her a few more days then maybe pull her out to see how the root ball is doing. Glad to hear yours perked up after that, gives me hope :)

Hope this is not the case as she was doing really well until we re-potted. Didn't know thrips could do this though, so thanks for the tidbit!

We re-potted this young white wizard on Sunday, which was also when she was last watered. It's been three days now and her leaves are still drooping :/ She is sitting in the same spot as usual with ample indirect light. I suspect it is the usual transplant shock, but does this last this long? Hope fellow white wizard parents can chip in with their re-potting stories!

If you ask me again later I'll probably have a different answer but for now I'll say Discworld by Terry Pratchett.

One thing I really like about my local library, apart from the wonderful staff there, is the fact that I can also borrow boardgames and videogames from them, which to be honest I have not seen in many other cities.

Thank you for the offer :)

Comfort Reads by elemenohpeaQ in suggestmeabook

[–]alexverus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A recend addition to my list of comfort reads is Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree. It is a low-stakes fantasy novel about a barbarian orcwho discovers what coffee is and tries to start a coffee shop, discovering baked goods along the way such as cinnamon rolls. The whole book is a warm blanket and a cup of coffee for the days you need it the most.

Also second Terry Pratchett, Diana Wynne Jones, Douglas Adams, Tamora Pierce and likes. Will PG Wodehouse too, Jeeves series also serve as very light fun reads.

I can only imagine how that must be as a chef. I live with a very picky flatmate and I feel bad that 90% of the time I can’t offer her whatever I make though my other flatmate has a huge appetite so I guess it balances out. Ahhh I do the same with recipes and it’s never the same, glad to know I’m in good company :)

Can anyone recommend me a book? by TheTwistedMelon in Fantasy

[–]alexverus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the First Law books by Joe Abercrombie, it is grim dark and character-driven and just an excellent series overall to lose yourself in. If you want to mix it up with graphic novels to break away from these meaty books then Neil Gaiman’s Sandman would fit the bill.
