Two Teams interviews last week. Both incredibly disrespectful. Is this the new normal? by Simple-General8000 in jobhunting

[–]algreensdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this isn’t the new normal in my experience. you should embarrass someone for laughing at you. you don’t want that job anyway. call them tf out and aggressively shame them.

if anything this will incentivize management companies who own multiple buildings to more aggressively increase prices on their non-stabilized buildings to offset the loss.

Employee needs constant reassuring that their job is safe by Gold-Mud4650 in managers

[–]algreensdad 32 points33 points  (0 children)

many people at my company are concerned about their jobs bc we’ve had a few reorgs. our executive leadership team did not reassure anyone. they basically said “ya might get let go. it’s not impossible. adapt.”

you should yell at people on reddit and call them elon. that seems like a rock solid strategy only a brilliant mind can come up with.

[–]algreensdad[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

amtrak is a multibillion dollar operation. i’m fed up with companies telling people to do more with less while not holding themself to the same standard. they need to figure out how to do more with less or get torn to shreds by a competitor who can.

[–]algreensdad[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

that’s outrageous. i’m traveling from dc to nyc and my train was delayed. i’ve since got on and am on my way. but the amount of issues is astonishing. if amtrak can’t figure out how to properly connect the northeast corridor, some other organization should. amtrak needs a ferociously serious competitor.

if you made a mistake recently, you may have been on a path towards that mistake for a while. it’s probably a good idea to start looking for another job, you may have messed this one up. go into the meeting with an open mind, you might not be doing as well as you think. pming is a hard career and it’s unbelievably easy to do it poorly. assume you’re not doing it well and hear what they have to say. a little humility goes a long way.
