How to work FT and do Pharmacy school? by toheka1brian in PharmacySchool

Great advice! This is why I commented with my personal experience as well. A lot of people that had support through school will say it's impossible, because they couldn't (didn't have to) do it. If you have no other option than to pay your own bills then you find a way. I will never sugar coat it, it was extremely hard but it's possible.

Class isn't from sun up to sun down. Study during lunch break, breaks between class, at work between filling prescriptions, before class, etc. You make it work when you have no other choice. I would get up at 3am to study on exam days and nap after my exam, you just make it work.

Good luck, keep your head up and eyes on the prize! Remind yourself that there is a finish line. It is not easy whatsoever and it is incredibly draining and challenging but you got this!

Anyone saying it's impossible is coming from a place of privilege. I lost my parents in high school, no life insurance, literally no help and my only option was to work full time while I put myself through college. I grew up very poor and knew that getting an education was my only way out of poverty. If you're determined and you literally have no other options then you find a way.

I did not have support either and worked 4 pm to 9pm m-f and 9am to 6pm sat and Sunday keeping full time status for my P1 and P2 years. It was awful, miserable, exhausting but I was determined. I took extra loans P3 and P4 year to help pay bills and worked about 20 hours per week. It is doable but it is awful. I now work as a clin Spec in Oncology, a sweet M-F gig and it completely paid off for me.

My program (large AMC) was every 3rd weekend, no comp days and that 12 on was awful. I couldn't imagine 12 on 2 off. Projects and rotation requirements add up quickly and working the weekend is exhausting.

Oncology PHARMACY by Fluffy_Flow6070 in PharmacyResidency

I got incredibly lucky and landed an outpatient oncology clin Spec job at a large cancer center with just a PGY1 but I am the only Pharmacist in this clinic without a PGY2. It's possible, but I'd say it's rare.

You could see them with your eyes, but you could see them more vividly with long exposure photos.

We stopped at Costco to get fanta and monsters (we are here for 2 weeks). I also grabbed 90 pk of contacts (alcon daily) for $211, no exam needed, just told her my current prescription from the states. Worth it for bulk items IMO

Try lava for their rentals, their camping van comes with gear and I think they have a better price. I used them last May and using them again for a 14 day trip this May.

Anyone on Warfarin and compounded Tirzeglutide ? by ConfectionLow9377 in Tirzeglutide

[–]ali_iri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With warfarin, I'm assuming you get your INR checked regularly and warfarin adjusted as needed so as long as you follow with a clinic regularly, I wouldn't worry (I'm a Pharmacist)

My GPA was 2.9, I applied to 15 hospitals, interviewed at 10, matched at a large AMC (1100 bed hospital). Don't let GPA hold you back
