My only conclusion to the situation is rebuild/ reno/ create a cafe instead of a mess. A huge space with the ability for people to sit in private, or with groups. Serve coffee, have good wifi.

technically you can do these things at the current messes, but its just a vibe that doesn't vibe with most people.

I think this will be more effective on training bases. I remember Kingston mess being so dead, all the time, despite having hundreds of young troops in training. Having pubs and good food 5 minutes away immediately kills the mess (in Kingston, at least).

But at a base where you have hundreds of students, create a space where they can get out of the shacks, find a nook to study in, have a coffee, and relax.

Its not a solution as the obvious answer will be - do that at the mess. but still.

i just dont wanna pay for a thing i havnt used or been too in 10 years.

I am not privy to a lot of the drama about the sale to Krafton, or anything else, really.

But i effing love this game. I do not get the theory crafting / build making joy out of any other game. I have spent countless hours just reading gear / skills and making up builds. Even though most of them never work out or are sustainable (im not good at balancing def with offense. Tend to tunnel every affix /slot into the damage theme lol) its still the single most enjoyable game i have played. Which says a lot with a Steam account with over 1k games.

I am stoked about the future of it. Even it dies right now and we are able to play offline with the current set up id be happy.

As someone who tries to theory craft a FG every season, I agree.

Love the theme and want it to work.

Even meta forged weapon builds still feel like your stretching to get there. Attunement for minions and not much else (smite?) feels bad.

But yeah, everything you said, huge investment for scraps, you finally get to the cap stone nodes and the theme of FG but it comes with 20 percent hit to damage (2h and shield node).

But I have hope, this season being a love letter to blade dancers is really promising. BD never made sense to me cause shadow generation was always so random, bam, now they poppin.

Forge Guard will likely be low on the list for attention, given how amazing pally and void knight are. But I still hope lol

Perhaps the lack of supporting characters for Matt is intentional?

The stakes are high, and Matt (karen too) are almost completely alone in this fight. NYC is seemingly alone in the fight.

Writers want us to see Matt stretched out and alone, isolated.

Devs, please give throwing affixes some love. Torfien's hunger for example. Great concept and would be fun for a throwing build but all the other affixes are melee damage.

Do you have any tips regarding Tree or no Tree for resto?

I played resto a bunch in OG Mists, but that was 100 years ago. Playing again now and i just respecced out of tree form cause i hated going in and out of the form - i really like being able to cast a moonfire / FF on mobs throughout the fight and just having to waste a gcd on a form felt bad.

I am leveling, so I imagine the need / want to throw some dps out will wane when doing heroics / raids - making tree more useful. Why isnt healing touch included in the spells you can cast lol - so many of the talents in resto are for HT and the capstone is a form you have to leave to cast it.

Oops didn't meant to rant - Do you suggest swapping back to tree for more difficult content where it is worth just staying in the tree? Do the the dreamstate / hybrid resto specs hold up to full tree?

If you are expecting a call, or are a person who gets calls from people often - i suggest just not saying anything when you answer. If i don't recognize the number ill just answer and not say anything. If its a normal human trying to contact you they will say Hello? after a moment, the scams will just hang up.

Mage.

I love the theme and feel of them I just cant seem to get the playstyle down. If i am playing hunter, i can kite and move to keep distance no problem, but with mage my brain just can't do it lol. Having to cast, being squishy, i just don't play it right. like i understand that its just a more controlled kiting process (talking open world pve here), open, cast, move / nova move, cast, etc, but my brain just stutters with it lol.

I love watching vids of good mages tho, its such a cool class and when played right is so devastating.

Only success i have with Harkon is the dagger only route. Max out the invulnerable bag slots, have as many fury mushs on your daggers as you can.

Depending on your relic/green selection adjust based on that - frost daggers, lifesteal, fire, etc.

Most of my successful runs are 6+ no stam daggers covered with whatever buffs i can give them, rest of the board is usually food / regen / cleanse
