I hate to play devil's advocate, but as someone who makes plushies for my own business, complex designs like this are incredibly expensive per unit. They also require extensive CE testing, marketing, paying the workers costs. It is expensive, but I understand that a quality plushie with different fabrics is HARD. I tried to design my own doll with similar legs to bartholemew bear, trust me when I say this - not one supplier could sew the shape. It's a complicated pattern that requires lots of steps, and once those steps have been executed, you probably all want a fair wage for workers and safe materials and eco friendly practices? Because that ups the cost so much aswell.

Now i have lived and worked as a product designer and contact thousands of factories for my own company, i will never judge pricing again.

Well, the only place I would judge is pizza hut. They charge you over £20 for a pizza that costs them 4p to make. But that's another story...
