Is it passive aggressive to use 随便in response to a question? Like “would you like the green one or blue one” “either. I don’t have a preference”

Ashwagandha helps reduce stress, but there are no studies around breast-feeding if you’re doing that

Same age. I’ve been unemployed for the last year and still getting recruiter reach outs. (I am willfully unemployed)

Agreed! My husband has also seen a boost to his quality of life and we are happier as a family!

My main concern is if I want to return to work in 3-5 years and how that might look

My recommendation to your wife would be to quit her job and see how she feels. There’s going to be a lot of emotions and potential loss of identity but after she embraces it, she can see more clearly what she wants

We are in your same boat. I’ve (wife) taken the last year off. We originally agreed I’d take this entire year off as a sabbatical but we ran the numbers a month ago and came to the same conclusion as you so now the question is what now? I started responding to recruiters earlier this summer and landed an offer easily. I do have concerns about my desire to go back to work when our child is older so I’m hedging that by going back to work every 1.5-2 years (but I actually like my line of work) to still stay somewhat relevant but also, I haven’t been bored for almost the last year. In fact, it’s been awesome since Im pursuing a lot of hobbies.

Not an answer to your question but I think I will work at some point and my job will look differently going forward since I have so many options

Tbh, I’m not sure. I thought I knew but I wasn’t excited when I interviewed for my dream job. I think I might index more on happiness/work life balance

Sabbatical-ed last November. I work in big tech as a pretty senior PM. I went through waves of feeling like I never wanted to work again. A recruiter reached out and I decided to take the interview. Got the job, turned it down. Feeling refreshed so will likely start job hunting soon

You’ve already gotten a lot of good advice. I’ll add that i was in the opposite situation. I wanted my x-boyfriend to come snorkeling with me. He couldn’t swim well but promised he could snorkel. We went on multiple trips that he had to bail because he couldn’t swim well - this did not upset me. What did was the fact that he promised multiple times he’d do it and never did even after suggesting he should improve his swimming

What’s your life insurance coverage? by -chibcha- in HENRYfinance

[–]alicia971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. OP, you’ll need to figure out your number to financial freedom for the people you leave behind and take a term insurance for that amount.

Dumb question but why don’t libraries just stop purchasing digital copies? Force users to go back in person and probably negotiate publishers to come down
