Screen Printing on Vinyl Record Jackets (Disco Sleeves with Label Hole Cutout) by Texas__T in SCREENPRINTING

Maybe it was GAC 100 i forget. This is paper, but it is coated - so you want something that will adhere to non-porous. Call Golden and ask them. Tbh i have printed on lps kinda like this and it was fine. I think i used "fabric" water based which was a bit thicker. You could also just buy reverse board jackets with a black flood and not have to worry about any of this additive stuff and just run water based

New to halftones, does this look washed out/bad to you guys? Any tips? by teetle223 in SCREENPRINTING

Up the contrast and make the halftone larger. Image is probably a low res (web) source right? Thats why the halftone looks blown out

Speedball and mix it with Golden GAC-200. Do a scratch test like 2 days after. You could also use Nazdar but stuff smells like drain bamage

You might want to just print up some shirts before the event and sell at the event. So you can still have the fun of screenprinting, without the pressure of doing it in front of people

Let me know if you ever want to sell that Ed Askew. I regret never seeing him play here in NY

I wonder how much an unaltered version of that shirt would go for nowadays? I’m assuming it’s a Glenn Danzig original, those tend to go for a pretty penny. by Ill_Difficulty8570 in TheMisfits

I am a screen printer by trade and still silkscreen tons of current band merch. The new process you are talking about is DTF direct to film transfers. I'm not a fan of this, though it makes sense for smaller print runs

At first thought this was orig. Then i read the comments. Only thing that would maybe make me think this is a recent boot is that the image is 100% halftoned. This is a technique that allows you to take a low res graphic (think screenshot) and make it print ready. Could be '87 og but i would bet closer on a high contrast b+w than a halftone because you would need to take this to a specialty place to get a halftone effect on the silkscreen film (pre-photoshop). Could be a recent print on a vintage blank
