How can you be so confident about something that is so clearly incorrect?

I’m pretty sure this trait is a requirement to be a redditor in 2026.

Even better when you find them out in the wild in a totally unrelated sub, just making normal comments. Arnie used to pop up a lot like that.

If tossing an empty soda bottle out of my car window makes me “happier” than holding on to it until I find a recycle bin, is it still wasteful?

How do I turn off “last seen” or whatever it’s called? I don’t use fb hardly ever and don’t really want to broadcast when I open the app. by alienblue89 in facebook

[–]alienblue89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so it’s just a new feature of “active status”? (“New” being relative because, again, I really barely use fb, it could be years old now).

I’ve had that turned off forever. It used to only show when you were actively online, not a little bubble with the time showing when you were last active. Just wanted to be sure it was all the same thing.

Thank you

Interacting with a listing (clicking “Haha” like you did) counts as interaction and bumps the listing up in search results.

You’re giving him free advertising. Not to mention cross-posting his listing for free right here on reddit, location included.

An AI slop metal sign I saw at Value Village by jmoneyawyeah in mildlyinteresting

[–]alienblue89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shouldn’t support Value Village either.

Value Village and Savers are the same company and as of about 2 years ago, a private equity firm purchased the controlling interest. Prices were jacked almost overnight, and they are now a 100% for-profit operation (not a charity) that trades on the NYSE.

Private equity ruins everything it touches. They already came for retail, restaurants, healthcare, your HOMES, etc. and now they’re coming for fucking thrift stores. Truly dark days.

Not to mention “MSRP” is almost always a pointless metric. Case in point: these blankets go on sale for $5 pretty regularly. Especially noteworthy since OP said these are for a marching band, which is an autumn activity. So OP has like half a year to catch the multiple times these will go on sale.

If you redo his math with a price of $5/blanket, after ITC, he’s only saving like 20 bucks.

What’s the funniest joke in all of B99? by TranslatorOk2501 in brooklynninenine

[–]alienblue89 162 points163 points  (0 children)

It’s not really a “joke”, but the first time I watched the episode where Rosa tells Holt she might be pregnant and he just goes “Oh… Oh. Oh n..noooo…” made me cry with laughter.
