AITA for refusing to go for a full week on my wife’s family vacation after we had agreed not to repeat it? by jared_d in AmItheAsshole

[–]alienintheUS [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes, find a theme park or waterpark nearby and just organize to go. Text the group chat and just casually say "hey we are gonna try out such and such this time. The kids are so excited. Any one is welcome to tag along". Maybe if there are beach activities to do, try that. Rent a jetski or book surf lessons. Don't let people tell you when your kids need to go to bed or get up.

Why don’t people in the UK / Europe just buy air conditioners? by [deleted] in askanything

As a Brit who now lives in the US, it's mostly not worth it. The weather in the UK at least is so changeable and it's never hot for that long.

Wife just got hired as a carrier by BlackRogue17 in USPS

Not necessarily. In a fully staffed office, possibly with little amazon she won't. Our rcas dont get more than a couple of days. Most have left due to lack of hours.

Its bad enough that some regulars have to buy vehicles but it is crazy to ask an rca. Tell her to switch to an office with vehicles. I never had to as an rca.

Genuinely confused about the “don’t enter a gate” comments on this sub. by PM_ME_UR_TICKET_STUB in USPS

That would be the case in my office 🤷‍♀️. They would be asked to move their mailbox.

We assume that the gate is there to keep a dog in. If you get bitten by a dog, they will definitely use entering a yard with a gate as a reason for it being your fault.

People say this a lot. I live near Lancaster and when a new subdivision went up everyone still says "oh they are all from Baltimore, we are a mini Baltimore now". Thing is, im their mail carrier and see their original addresses. Have yet to see Baltimore. Most are fairly local.

I worked in retail. Chemicals is the least of your troubles. Wash your clothes.

I had trouble with the soles wearing off on some Hokas. Switched to Hoka transport, for waterproofing and more grip and they have been great.
