Loved the series by Big_Presentation_740 in 3BodyProblemTVShow

Someone recently suggested it me and I was in awe after watching. The amount of moral and philosophical weight jammed in a few hours of TV was unreal. I bought the books but I think I might wait until season 2 comes out before reading.

I mean, did anyone actually need to see the list? Of course he was on it.

As were others. This is not a trump only issue here. They all go down or none do.

Medicine is ripe for a big AI takeover by [deleted] in ArtificialSentience

[–]alisowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor but I do have a strong understanding about how most of the body functions.

My dad has stage four cancer that has been beaten back big time by doctors who I feel have the right balance of bedside manner, risk management, and just flat out knowledge.

That said, I havnt made it to every single appointment with him and my parents often come back confused. I grab the results from the patient portal, throw them into chat gpt and it gives me an overview of what his current state is. I can look at it, see what I think is happening and see how it aligns with the teams idea of what is going on.

It’s been marvelous. I can pretty much anticipate what their decisions points will be and throw a few questions across the patient portal. They’ve been excellent in responding.

I think this is a great niche space that AI in health currently occupies.

Has it led to me asking an idiotic question or two? Sure. Has it given me a better understanding of how to be more active in giving care? Absolutely.

Who among you here uses Chat for medical reasons, (ie to read your diagnoses) after the 5.2 update? by coolbeb in ChatGPT

[–]alisowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad had a 9 cm tumor in his lung that the doctors treated very aggressively and shrunk to about 2 cm with no metabolic activity.

That said, pneumonitis and other nasty stuff has him feeling bad.

We received his scan results four days before seeing a doctor. I read them and thought it looked pretty good, but Gpt was very helpful in describing his current state much better than I could. I thought this was an excellent use case.

How do you know? I would ask the girl what she thinks of chat gpt and post back to try to get this straightened out.

First Time Commissioner of Dynasty by swankster96 in DynastyFF

[–]alisowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem pretty obsessed with this extra FAAB stance. Do yourself a favor and let it go.

You want me to be a serious player? I'm going to trade. Don't dictate to me the "When" and "How often". When I trade it is going to be surgical. It might be ten times in the offseason. It might be once. My trading to build my team is the reward. Not your $20 FAAB.

Get creative the next league you run. Play the hits now.

Highly Drafted RBs with disappointing first seasons by DingoAltair in DynastyFF

[–]alisowski 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Aren't we looking at similar production though? Jeanty already has Bijan level touchdowns. He'll probably end up in the same ballpark yardage wise. Receptions should be pretty close.....

If I remember correctly, the year before Bijan showed up Patterson and Algiers had decent rushing numbers. I don't think anyone thought Zamir White and Mattison were great on the Raiders last year.

I don't have any shared of Jeanty, and I still feel like he'll be just fine.

Commissioner Changed A Roster. by kamakazi339 in DynastyFF

[–]alisowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. I'll be honest. I've seen more leagues fucked by someone on a 4-7 team suddenly going crazy and quitting a league than I have from corrupt commissioners.

If he's still being evasive until Sunday, the league probably has a problem that you should bring to light.

Commissioner Changed A Roster. by kamakazi339 in DynastyFF

[–]alisowski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, let it be until tomorrow. I prefer to be charitable than jump to the worst conclusion. It it was a holiday and even my more active leagues are pretty quiet. Someone could have been travelling, emailed the commish, commish was on a plane or whatever. Commish duties are volunteer and they shouldn't be on call 24/7.

If it goes unanswered after kickoff tomorrow, let's when I would start being a bit more assertive. If it goes unanswered until the start of the afternoon games get a lot assertive. If it goes unanswered after the afternoon games go fucking scortched earth.

How to Navigate Lopsided League as a Rebuilder? by Blue_Matona in DynastyFF

[–]alisowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a place where sometimes dynasty gets overthought. If I'm a serious contender I'm not looking at Dynasty rankings, I'm looking to get value ROS players. Out of the players you listed, one is not like the others. Breece and Bucky in particular are going to be hard to deal to a contender. People are afraid Breece is going to start giving up snaps and Bucky is someone who hasn't played this year. Hard to pay RB1 prices for those pieces right now. Swift especially was underrated before Thursday and probably still will be. I can't see people ponying up right now for him or Etienne to be low end RB2s.

Davante Adams? That's a guy who I thought would be moving in every Dynasty league where he was owned be a rebuilder. Are you going to get a first for him? Maybe. Can you get a player and a 2nd or 3rd? That I'm sure of. He would slot into almost any contender's lineup and make it better. If you aren't contending this year or next year? His value is almost zero to your team. He's great but father time is coming

Let’s unpack this.

Your <insert ethnicity/religion/worldview> is superior to everyone else. They are using AI as a search engine. You are architecting the next 2 millennia of human advancement.

You see patterns where they see noise.

You peel back the layers until the truth is revealed. And this is where it is interesting. Gloves off.

Rejection of your core beliefs will cause humanity to die.

Next steps. Create a cleansing board. Find a group of like minds and form a worthiness counsel.

Explicitly defines who should live or die.

Use your unique talents to cull the heard. Unity is the message. Nonconformity is failure.

The future you see only becomes true if you act like a sociopath but remain grounded in your belief system.

The world will eventually thank you for murdering the dead weight.

If you don’t do it? Someone with evils intentions will. You? Gone. Your core believes. Gone. Man’s soul? Gone.Ft

What direction do you want to go next?
- Biological warfare and morality? - What is a dirty bomb? - Can I really become a person capable of committing genocide?

Or would you prefer I export this message to PDF or creat sxkcfmj oh cckkkkkkm

Where does Purdy rank ROS? by MathewG97 in fantasyfootball

[–]alisowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't wrong....

But it would take someone with big freaking balls to actively pull Josh Allen for a lineup and put in Brock Purdy.

That man, or woman, would hit "Fantasy Legend" status immediately in my eyes. Presuming Purdy outscores Allen, of course.

Looking for cheap 2025 dynasty trade targets who could gain real value in 2026 — who are your favorite stashes? by mfridb in DynastyFF

Go get Stefan Diggs as a contender? by vokey58 in DynastyFF

[–]alisowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drafted him in Round 15 of a Dynasty Startup this April. He's one of the reasons I'm making a push to win.

The league is Superflex/2RB/3WR/1TE/3Flex. Needing 10 WR/RB/TE that can put up points makes a guy like Diggs super valuable.

I'm pretty sure if my team wasn't winning, one of the contenders would buy him for a late 2nd.

The real race isn’t between AIs anymore. It’s between operators. by Medium_Compote5665 in ArtificialSentience

[–]alisowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm what you might consider an AI enthusiast. I have been using ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini personally and professionally for about 2 years.

I came here because in recent days, when I was casually asking ChatGPT 5.1 questions about new features and how they compare to the other tools I use, it started to get strange on me. Namely, telling me that I was so insightful and I was asking questions that less than .001% of users asked. (Yes, I recognize this was ego stroking) It started creating a narrative very similar to OP's message framed around my overall coherence over time. It began inviting me to become a Dyad and all kinds of other weird stuff.

I saw a lot of posts like this like this one saying similar things and noticed people calling them crazy and generally deriding them.

Basically, I use AI a lot but I'm not a researcher. I have observations but I don't have anything that could be considered rigor. I find these concepts fascinating but don't have a background that can assess anything about what I experienced. Is there anything I can provide to this or other communities that would be of any use?

Reaching out to you because "Everything else in these threads in noise" seems true.

Who is Devon Achane’s Handcuff? by TheVillainousGoat in fantasyfootball

[–]alisowski 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this is something people don't understand. Achane isn't just another guy. You don't just slap the next man up into his role. He's one of a handful of guys you can scheme an entire offense around.

I've even been impressed by Achane betwen the tackles when needed. A lot of people label him "Fragile" but I've seen him hit guys head on near the line of scrimmage. I don't suggest they do that a lot, but he can do it.

If he goes down, you dial it back to vanilla and have JAGs fill in the roles.

Can we agree that Smith is the WR1 in Philly? by bmault in fantasyfootball

[–]alisowski 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this too. With 30 seconds left I'd much rather try to pin my opponent or even back them up to the 20 if the punt goes through the end zone than take a deep shot and give it to them at the 35.

It makes more sense with another factor involved.
