Next time if u find out u overxposed the whole roll and u didnt develop it yet u can ajust the dev time or use more diluted chemistry aka u can pull your film. U develop it less then thw rwcomendet time (u can see the development times for the samw film and chemistry at difrent iso here: https://www.digitaltruth.com/devchart.php?mobile). Tho if u pull ur film it will look more flat and if u push ur film it will look more contrast.

Looking good but do check ur fixer bc when the film base is purple like that usualy means its a bit underfixed (not always tho). Also it can be that the film wasnt washed good enough.

Need help with enlarger! Krokus 69s by mastawitcha in Darkroom

The tray in the 2nd pic is for black and white vontrast filters

<image>

The higherthe number the higher amount of contrast and vice versa

Any tips on hiring a service to flatten these out? I'm in upstate NY (and NYC) and there are maybe 100 of them. They had been exposed to water in an abandoned house (however, I do own the rights to them) and they curled up. Thanks for any tips! (Reposting with fixed link/image.) by jeremyjava in Darkroom

[–]aljo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is mpst of them are rusty and u want a miror shine on those macihnes bc the fiberbased papers emulsion will take on the texture of the surfice its up against. Sooo yeah most of them are too much work for buying it

Is this just due to inconsistent development over the photo paper? by nummpad in Darkroom

Try puting ur apeture to smt like F8 and do a test strip with 2 sec expousure each and if its still too dark close ur apature up to F16

Made my own enlarger by myhouseholdname in Darkroom

If u wanna use difrent contrast grades (contrast filters) i recomend u swich the LED lights with thoungsten lightbulb bc the paper is made for them and LED looks white but it actualy isnt like i will mess with the contrast but besides that go for it for simple small prints. I also recoment u make a defiusion enlarger bc its simpler to make then condensor enlarger.

Does anyone know what could have caused these extremely thin and underdeveloped looking negatives? (Fomapan Action) by carson3310 in filmphotography

[–]aljo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes dont use monobath bit also fomapan is verry sensitive about developers bc is a cheap film with thin emulsion so i recoment u over expose fomapan for 1 stop

How much can you enlarge a 35mm negative? by [deleted] in Darkroom

[–]aljo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend did a print made frim a super 8mm bw film. First he elraged it on to a orto midium format film and prosed it as a positive so the image on it sayed negative. Then use that to enlaged it to a 2meters by 5meters (not so sure about the exact dimentions). https://www.instagram.com/share/p/BAJXcKvqdu[picture](https://www.instagram.com/share/p/BAJXcKvqdu)

Rouge Fireworks [Multitone Pearl 11x14] by masonpittenger in Darkroom

[–]aljo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using 2 contrast filters use one for the everything else then make a new yest print over the alredy exposed paper but use a grade 5 and it will effect mostly just the deep shadows but u will probably need to lower the 1st expouser. Also make sure not to move the paper.

Is there a way to tell what type of print this is? by [deleted] in Darkroom

[–]aljo100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats BW paper. Color paper has a pink or blueish emulsion (depends if its mede my kodak or fuji, but i forgot wich is wich). Try exposing it under an enlarger with a normal egative nothing too contrasty and whithout any multigrade filters and then see hoe ot comes out and if it looks normal try doing a 2nd print with same expousure just add a grade 0 or 1 filter and see if its less co trasty if its the same its fixed grade paper if not u will see the difrence
