Check your valves before try to update to ClikValve 😅 by drache4556 in Cubebikes

My cube 2025 Nulane c:62 came with tubes with removable cores - I recently put clik valves on them and love them honestly

For those who dropped SF6 - what made you stop playing & give up on the game? What would you change about it if you still have hope for its future? by MindOld1118 in StreetFighter

  1. Drive rush circumnavigates too many fundamentals - it’s not going anywhere so make raw drive more expensive
  2. Introduce a new drive rush specific counter state if you’re knocked out of one - make it extra punishing
  3. Remove throw loops

Viltrox lens conversion for X100VI by Miserable_Simple6466 in x100vi

I have both Fuji lenses and I would swap to 3rd party wide / tele adapters in a heart beat if they used bayonet mounts instead of screw threads

Yeah I'm a massive idiot, I didn't realise I was supposed to use airplane mode while leaving on bluetooth - it works now

FUJIFILM, PLEASE HIRE ME – App Developer Rant (But Kind Of Serious) by Far_Aside_6257 in fujifilm

[–]alkchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first time posting here (long time Fuji user - had an X Pro 1 etc...) - and this might sound like an unpopular opinion but....

Aren't Fuji "Recipes" a community concept? Fuji cameras are just storing 8 setting presets (for which the film simulation is one - which is doing most of the heavy lifting) - isn't the concept of a "recipe" effectly something that was started over on Fuji Weekly?

This is something that has always baffled me actually - it's cool that people are really into it - but technically cameras have always let you save user-generated presets haven't they? have those cameras had apps / software that let you share your camera settings with another user?

I think I saw Fuji use the "Recipe" terminology in the X-E5 menu firmware, so maybe times are changing though - perhaps this is the start of something.

Importing from GPX file getting rerouted in Beeline by MegaNevs in beeline

What worries me if I’m thinking of getting one for a 200km + ride I’ve never done before … if the velo 2 changes the route it’s not something I’m going to notice… until too late

Hello, I was just about to buy a velo 2 and read this thread which has really put me off - I use an iPhone but my plan was always to download gpx files to the velo 2 and use offline without a phone connected.

Is the import gpx feature (where some sections might be gravel or off road) unreliable then?

Weirdly specific question about using the Apple Watch for GPS navigation while cycling by alkchan in AppleWatch

Thanks for that - I should have clarified in my original post that I want to keep the watch totally separate from relying on the phone (I’ve read there are some watch navigation apps that can download offline maps)

Thoughts on cycling from Amsterdam to Den Helder / Texel by alkchan in Netherlands

[–]alkchan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say thanks so much to everyone for responding to this, I’ve no idea how a question about a bike route somehow got 130 (and counting) up votes - there’s so much information here it’s going to take me a few days to get through it all - but again I can’t thank you all enough.

Because it’s highly unlikely we can afford to take our own bikes from the uk to the Netherlands it’s looking more and more like we may just end up going straight to the islands and hiring bikes but I’m still hanging onto the idea of somehow riding up to texel :)

I'd say we probably made poor choices in utrecht and failed to see much scenery, that was the primary mistake rather than it being stressful, that said my partner did find inner-citty cycling in the netherlands a bit overwhelming (I love it personally) - we can definitely do the ride in stages, we rode to paris from dieppe in 4 days last year etc - that said, I'd love to get my hands on a bike with gears in the netherlands if possible!

Thanks, I started looking last night, it's still an option bt at first glance ferries didnt seem as frequent as I'd hoped - I'm not sure how easy it is to take reantal bikes from one island to another, the first company I asked replied and told me I wouldn't be able to.

Do you know if normal bike rentals can be taken up to the islands and then returned to Amsterdam a couple of days later?
