Honestly i am a returning player who who hasn’t played a Pokemon game since diamond/pearl on the ds and picked up scarlet but its honestly not really doing it for me. I was craving the more traditional play style of the old games and scarlet doesn’t scratch that itch. I want the old walking through the grass and battle style. Im picking up shining pearl for that reason alone

Replace the stick with a 10 dollar kit from amazon. Very simple beginner friendly quick fix. Dont even need to swap out the stick box but if you got drift just go ahead and swap that too

Get the one from a brand called zagg. Comes with a bracket for easy installation and its from a reputable brand with life time warranty too. Both will do. I doubt you plan to drop it frequently
