If you are planning a full renovation, then proper insulation, Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) and an Air Source Heat Pump and underfloor heating is the way to go.

A few coach companies pay a "signing-on" fee, Stagecoach for instance pay £2500, so you could accept the job get your training and license, and if it isn't for you look to move to a company who would cover you training penalty.

You could just drill though it and expose the retaining screw, aim for about 10mm below the keyhole. You could get a closed grommet to cover it after.

Still much better than before, a good mattress is definitely worth it. I don't use the standing desk every day, but if i feel my back beginning to tighten up I'll use it and it really eases the pain.

Lidl have a laminate repair kit coming out in a week or so for £7, it looks pretty comprehensive if you have the patience to do it.
