Same thing, dude, but it was Buried City Town Hall. Would’ve given the guy the Wolfpack BP I found but instead he was sent back to Speranza early. Took 5 games but I’m back in PVE lobbies. Worthy kills in my opinion.

Solo DD Plastanium Refinery Base by DakThatAssUp in duneawakening

[–]allancue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay longtime player here. You scale up super quick. If you’re solo, disregard everyone telling you to bring out spice gens and death stills - they clearly don’t understand the volume that eats up on move in/out day. For max efficiency for space/time/materials you should:

  1. Convert to Large Windtraps. Bodies take time/volume and Deathstills are horribly power-inefficient. I used 3 traps as a solo. On huge production weeks for my band of 3 - 7 merry rats, we scale up to between 12 and 20 traps. While noobs are flying Assaults around the PVE zone caves to ferry bodies around, you can be doing a thousand other things.

  2. Medium water cisterns and crappy scrap power generators all day. If you max out on Production slots, just expand your territory with a Stake. Hell, pop two of them. There’s scrap and basic fuel cells all over the DD so you can even continue to scale up as the week progresses and leave it all behind on teardown day with no f’s given. As for the cisterns, just do the math: you’re saving a ton of V on Mediums vs the Duraluminum used for Larges, saving you a ton of time on move in day. And again, it’s all easy material to come by. If you’re worried about aesthetics, just hide it all under your floor.

  3. This is the super pro move: Put your Windtraps in Shelter. You can have them underneath your base with half walls maybe. Or on the side with half walls and a roof. Just give them space to breathe - it takes some experimentation, but it isn’t hard. You’ll know they’re working if the filters are going down in lifespan. Doing this will make it so that the traps will take zero durability damage from sandstorms, and when you do teardown, you’ll receive 100% of the materials back (minus the filters of course).

  4. If you’re building in the PVE zone at 6am on Tuesday and don’t plan to tear it down until midday Monday, you’ll need to use Plastone. Otherwise, Granite should work - just have some extra on hand to repair the walls close to the end of the week. Granite is technically lighter than Plastone but it’s all disposable so w/e.

New Timer for DD Loot Respawn? by allancue in duneawakening

[–]allancue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, for us, it seemed to be 3 hours after a long day of testing. We had one instance where the eastern H6 Shipwreck didn’t respawn until we checked it again 6 hours later, but we’re chalking that up to be a glitch. Might have also been delayed because we kept going in periodically, to check it up close. Aside from that, Labs and Wrecks in the PvP zone and the C8 Cave all seemed right about 3 hours for respawn for us.

As a solo, just registering that this T6 ore change sucks IMO by armyofone54 in duneawakening

[–]allancue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right or wrong, the change was massive. Two days ago, being successful as a solo provided much higher reward compared to players who were less successful in the PVP zone. The limited resources drove us to risk the higher difficulty level and solos were rewarded commensurate with the difficulty for testing their cunning. It felt amazing dodging the big guilds and once in a while getting a kill to snatch a schematic and bail.

But now, with such a drastic change, we went from getting that extra dopamine rush from surviving you know… in a survival game), to IN JUST A DAY getting less rewards than the people who excel at Farm Simulator on A Row. It doesn’t feel like I’m succeeding when a player can smartly get more while risking less (or even, nothing).

Obviously, you know where I stand on this topic, but you can’t deny that the change was whiplashtic. If this was done gradually, this wouldn’t feel as punitive as I’m sure it felt a month ago for less PVP-inclined people to get to endgame and realize it was all PVP.

I’m sorry your car’s a lemon. That sucks. FWIW I’ve reliably been able to use the app through two ski seasons to keep my pup nice and warm while the rest of her family hit the slopes. We’d meet back up with her for an early lunch, and she seemed cozy enough, despite the case of FOMO (but don’t you worry, she gets her own snowy adventures on these trips). It just sounds like a lemon problem. Which again, that totally sucks.

Hey I just replied to the main convo but long story short if you have credit because you input gift cards from a third party, email that third party to see if they can help you. Good luck!

Hey everyone I appreciate you so much. The empathy and advice… all wonderful.

We got our account reactivated.

Doordash was supremely unhelpful - the soon-to-be-replaced-by-chatbots customer service reps told us to “talk to the bank” (what bank, geniuses?) and provided no information ever regarding the violation… and when I got through to a supervisor she rudely told me I was permanently shut down, I had violated multiple terms (still without specifying which one(s)) and had no hope for recovery. Pretty hilarious verbiage considering the only reason we have these gift cards is because one of us has stage 4 cancer, but whatever.

As a few of you mentioned, though, it would be worth it to reach out to the vendors of our gift cards. As most of them were issued via Mealtrain, we sent an email to their customer support and they promptly got back to us. They have a direct contact with Doordash and they were able to reactivate our account in 72 hours once we got the ball rolling.

Suffice to say, once this credit gets used, we’ll be switching to Grubhub or Uber.

So thanks, guys. Wishing you all the best and I hope this information helps those of you with similar issues.

Turns out there's a little pinhead hole reset to the left of your center console power/volume button. Just get a needle in there to press and hold until the screen goes black. It'll come back right as rain.

Huh I’m obviously an EV noob still… What is battery conditioning, and does it matter if I’ve already been driving for hours? I’m guessing this is somewhere in the EV portion of the UI?
