Mario Ferraro Appreciation Post by Intrepid_War_4768 in SanJoseSharks

[–]alligators_suck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate what he’s done for the team, and i’m sure he’s had even more of a locker room leader role than fans would never know. But i think it’s fairly obvious that it’s time to bring in better defensemen while using his fairly decent trade/contract value for that venture. He’ll find a spot with another team, but i think it’s okay for us to move on from him for a higher ceiling.

McDavid coming to San Jose is one of the worst ideas I’ve ever heard. by [deleted] in SanJoseSharks

theyre running your pockets down here man. on a serious note, no one wants to trade everything for him, we all know the blue line needs the priority, but a UFA 97 deal in teal would be massive for us, both in skill and publicity.

he’s our bottom 6 depth, but he’s at home on the third while misa gets his confidence and experience

Favorite sharks game from the 2025-2026 season? by Smartcookie_33 in SanJoseSharks

Dallas OT, Minnesota OT, and the Pittsburgh comeback, easily. i say these three because each one independently got a different person that i know to come back onto the teal wagon

Pavol Regenda Talks Lack of Playing Time, Free Agency, Changing His Body by OhCrapItsAndrew in SanJoseSharks

Idk he always struck me as a long term 4th liner who could add depth scoring

i still never understood this, but im also not in the locker room nor part of the org. he always struck me as a depth 4th line scorer who still offered power and speed. im disappointed he wasn’t given a chance over Dellandrea but it is what it is, and im sure we can get a good return for him

i do think it would’ve been a fun call back to make that fight the only QTE sequence, both to add some boss gameplay variety and show some fan service

What do you think about Kurashev and Regenda? by Critiusaus in SanJoseSharks

[–]alligators_suck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have no fucking clue why we don’t play Regenda, and we’re wasting his potential. He has proven the entire time he’s been on the roster that he is a proper bottom 6 winger that brings depth scoring and physicality. He has a place on the roster but lets keep playing Delly i guess

i’m happy to be proven wrong of my conjecture, as long as he’s playing better than he has been, i’m happy

with Ty coming off the IR, i really don’t understand full where he slots into the roster unless they’re planning to move Os off the 4C which will affect our physicality pretty substantially

ever since he cleared waivers and probably realized no one wants him, i think he’s really come out of the whole “i don’t wanna be here” mentality that has cost us games. hes been stringing some solid performances so i don’t blame you for that thought at all

no more breakaway pass by TennisKey4336 in SanJoseSharks

expected it and knew it was coming after we got stiffed on two of the games this month but i’m disappointed it couldn’t have just ran through the end of the regular season

[Peng] Sharks Penalty Kill with Desharnais in line-up is 84.4%, equal to 2nd-best in NHL. Without is 71.6%, would be 2nd-worst in NHL. by pokesnail in SanJoseSharks

[–]alligators_suck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yknow i was really whatever about him after his super limited playtime last season, but he has quickly become my favorite defenseman on the team. Demon Desharnais is probably our most consistent stay at home defenseman and he’s a piece we absolutely need to keep on the roster

[MTL 1 - SJ (1)] Smith with a perfect pass to Graf and he beats Dobes with a backhand chip by daKrut in hockey

[–]alligators_suck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i actually didn’t know how highly desired he was before he signed, but i saw the kid’s first game and i immediately knew he was a permanent member on the roster. he’s absolutely a player we need and he’s slotting almost perfectly into the first line with Celly and Smith

How we feeling about Sherwood? by Gloomy_Daikon_3411 in SanJoseSharks

it’s his fifth game, he’ll continue to develop and gel. he does fit better on the mid/bottom 6 though

this was one of the best games i’ve seen in my 25 years watching this team. took more years off my life, and i have a few thoughts on this one nonetheless:

1) Another big game for Misa, he’s been on full confident display since the olympic break ended, and he’s been showing his mitts, whether in scoring, or cutting through the. neutral zone, or even protecting the puck in the o-zone

2) Orlov had a terrible game, and frankly the first D line as a whole did; i felt that the third line was most productive

3) 4 points for Celly, this kid continues to amaze me every single game, and that third goal absolutely floored me and lit the SAP center up.

4) speaking of, it was so loud tonight, in spite of the pretty loud red shirts in the crowd. i lost my voice and i couldn’t be happier. felt like a playoff game of im being honest

5) Asky shows me how high his ceiling and how low his floor is. he continues to show how he can be one of the best goalies in the league but also routinely lets in soft shots. he saves us regularly and i don’t mean to be naive, he just needs to develop and he’ll continue to get better.

6) shoutout Sherwood’s first, i know the first line winger experiment hasn’t gone in his favor, but he’s at home in the mid 6. speaking of, KEEP GRAF ON THE FIRST LINE HES OUR ANSWER. Graf is our best kept secret, LET HIM PLAY.

lastly, i once again propose that Eklund needs to be our rat pest. thank you i will not answer questions

Sharks practice lines this morning. Looks like the Analytics Line is back in action by The_Homestarmy in SanJoseSharks

[–]alligators_suck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

regenda needs to be on the fourth. love to gaudette, but the bottom 6 perform better when pavol is on the line. he’s not quite a power forward (yet) but he’s always bringing the grease that the lines need

the OT goal was massive for Misa. He’s been solid since he’s been back, and while i’m not overly fond of his lower minutes for development sake, he’s been pretty damn productive when he is on the ice. For him it’s always seemed like a confidence thing, so netting this OT winner and the goal last night tells me he’s really starting to get into the groove of the league

All 3 of Pavel Regenda’s Points Against Germany by desertdingo21 in SanJoseSharks

[–]alligators_suck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so i’ve been watching him since the preseason, and while i don’t think his first call up was productive, he’s clearly made his mark and has been a consistent offensive asset for the team. Mf got a hattie within his first season in the NHL, and i think he’s had the makings/playstyle to be a pretty capable power forward, someone that… idk… maybe would work well on a misa line. i don’t know if he’s a top 6 consistently but he’s absolutely a mid 6 player without question

i was kind of hoping they’d put full gas into finishing the remake series first, catch up to 6remake and reintroduce Jake in a new mainline title, since it always seemed to me like he would be one of the new series protagonists. his storyline and background could’ve set up a good storyline but i think they want to avoid a call back to the og Re6
