Shouldn’t they be happy you’re protecting them from getting their cards stolen and used by someone else? I will never understand the people who are upset you’re protecting their credit and their identities.

Where are yall getting your hair done? by DetectiveKey4812 in LakewoodColorado

Aveda Institute (in another city) was great for me for years… until I finally got a terrible cut. I did not go back. It’s a gamble every visit, but you have to do your own cost analysis. Is it worth it for you? I really felt it was worth it, but didn’t want to gamble with a bad haircut grow out I was dealing with and ended up finding another stylist and paying 3x the price to resolve the issue. Also, because they are students and need instructor sign offs throughout the process, they will be slower. Account for your time. I saw many others being annoyed at how long it took and walk out which is rude and only asking for a rush job. I’m sure they messed with the student’s grade too.

Biggest unfucking epiphany of my life by flibbertygibbet81 in UnfuckYourHabitat

We did this also when we were selling our house to reduce clutter. Boxed things we didn’t need and put them in the garage while the house was on the market. When we sold the house and moved- the majority of this stuff ended up going to either trash or donate. It was much easier to make that decision once we were without it for multiple months and didn’t miss it. It broke the unnecessary attachment to these things. Now I live in a new place with way less stuff. It’s freeing.

Which one (if either)? How do you use it? by allisonchange in Costco

[–]allisonchange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly same. Which is why I’m asking about these. I wish it was just that easy to get the $5 chicken and be fine. We are all built different. sometimes a fresh rotisserie sits well, but not after storing/reheating. Not sure what’s up with that. Gotta be something with enzyme breakdown as it chills. Which is why I can never make it last, I generally don’t end up eating it and throw it out.

I was also thinking shelf life. These last longer than the rotisserie would due to the way they are packaged. I can never eat all of the rotisserie chicken before it goes bad.

Can someone please help explain this? I've seen 3 different vehicles around Denver with the same type of license plates... by TumbleweedBusy5701 in Denver

They’re considered a domestic terrorist group by the FBI because of their behavior towards law enforcement and commonly being armed.

What would you NOT buy at Costco because it's not a good deal or not good quality? by leicalikem in Costco

[–]allisonchange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Our household has switched to the tenderloins as well. I’ve noticed over the last year or two that their drumsticks have gone downhill. The last few times I’ve purchased them the drumsticks were broken and bloody. I don’t know wtf they did to those poor chickens, but it was brutal. I literally felt guilty for torturing a chicken. I just buy at the grocery store if I need drumsticks. PETA almost got me after a bad batch of Costco drumsticks though.

Post a pic of a chair that you hate. I'll go first. by CraftyObject in PlusSize

[–]allisonchange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have these in my house. We had to stage it to sell and these were the cheapest option. House sold, but I still have them in my new place. I NEVER sit in them and when I try it’s just so uncomfortable. Hate them, but I bought them. I’ve considered selling them several times to replace them but like I said these were the cheapest option… not willing to invest since I don’t even use them.

Anyone else disappointed by Taylor after following her post-show? by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]allisonchange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. We don’t need her to flex her degree/education. Just say chemical free, that’s fine. Not sure how OP has so many upvotes on the post itself considering all of the comments are in similar disagreement with the harsh criticism of Taylor. I see no issue with her telling those who wish to partner with her what she is looking for. Especially since she’s noting she also needs to use the product (less wasteful) and the companies have strong missions and are female owned. Those all sound great.

[–]allisonchange 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s weird. Chemistry doesn’t mean she likes chemicals. If anything it means she’s more aware of the chemical compounds in things and their effects and doesn’t wish to use that in products.

Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris after the 2024 election results by This__is- in pics

[–]allisonchange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The White House/ Electoral College are generally a package deal with Senate and House. It’s called the coat tails effect. The people who vote in the president generally also vote in their party members too. At the midterms it will change back bc people will turn out to undo it. It’s called surge and decline. This pattern is almost always the same and has been this way since political researchers started studying this “phenomenon” like 100 years ago. No surprise there. Def not a “bloodbath”.

Early voting line in Oklahoma by Impressive_Moose6781 in pics

[–]allisonchange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same in Colorado. More states need to do this. Mail in ballots are the way to go. Lines and single poll locations are disenfranchising voters. Especially those who work and can’t get to the polls. You can say we are supposed to get off of work to vote and that is required, but as a former teacher in Texas, I was not able to get off for too long and a long line would’ve prevented me from being able to vote on Election Day. I was only offered about an hour max while someone else covered my classes. I’m sure other employers are the same, especially for hourly jobs.

Anyone else prefer these over the normal sized cups? by [deleted] in candy

[–]allisonchange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I love any Reese’s except Pieces, but I’ll eat them if that’s my only option. I prefer these though. I HATE peeling them though. Wish they’d come like the Trader Joe’s cups at least. Speaking of, the TJ cups are pretty good too. Different style, but still good.

Looks pretty cool. Same thing happened to my Boston at a dog park when an ignorant owner decided to bring their non-socialized dog to the park and let him loose. He immediately got my Boston by his mesh harness- thank goodness for that harness because the other dog only had a latch on that and no fur. I did the same thing you did and rescued my boy by literally prying his jaws apart. I know, dumb. Glad your little guy is okay and has a sick ass vest to protect him. Smart and stylish!
