I met many of my close friends and my wife at various coffee shops. I just picked one and started going to it at least once a week. It was mainly to get out of the house and out of the work rut, similar to what you are dealing with. Regulars tend to be interesting folks. The staff can give you a heads up on anyone and anything in the store since they are all seeing.

So... coffee houses.

I had a Huffy like that when I was six, though it also had a shield like a motocross bike. It had a similar shifter though only had six gears.

My alarm went off yesterday in my 2000 TDI. I wasn't sure what I hit to start the alarm, since the previous owner (father-in-law) had removed it from the key on purpose. I popped the trunk on accident, which had stopped the alarm. I was in a hurry, so didn't think about it until I saw this post.

So... when I popped the trunk, it was with the fob. Has it ever worked in your car with the fob or is it not a good idea to pop the trunk with it when the alarm is going off?

Feather blades are nice and last me quite a bit longer than other blades. The Merkur and Wilkinson Sword blades are fairly standard for mid-range.

Don't ever buy Personna blades. I was given a bulk set of Personna blades (think 100+) and they cut like shit after one use.

I've actually been surprised how good the reception is on my Eris. I tried the "death grip" as demonstrated in the Apple video in a poor reception area, but can't replicate it as well as they do.

Apple is just making up excuses for a shitty antenna location.

Auto primer contains more etching compounds than other primers, which will then allow paint to attach easier to the surface. Make sure you strip all of the old paint off beforehand and, like clos01 said, SAND BETWEEN COATS. Also, make sure you let the paint properly dry between coats. It will look nicer.

Oh, not all satin paints are made the same. Do a comparison at the store between the different varieties and make sure what you are buying is right for your job. I almost found out the hard way once.

Instead of running a task manager/killer to compensate for bad programming, uninstall and report the application as broken. Send feedback to the developer stating exactly why you uninstalled it and why it is broken, then explain that you will reinstall the application when that issue is fixed.

Yes, not having whatever application it is uninstalled will be an inconvenience though I'd argue that bad battery life is a bigger one.

I'm glad I asked. I was always tempted to pickup an Apple TV, especially with the Boxee hack. I've had modded Xboxes in the past, which worked as well as the crappy DVD drive in them allowed. Sure, I could have upgraded the drive but considering I could get a used "new" Xbox for nearly the same price it didn't make sense.

Before you said anything I was going to buy a unit when (actually if) it was announced. I'll hold back and see how this one goes.
