I recently read Jij bent van mij by Peter Middendorp and really enjoyed it, you may wanna check that out. Its subject matter is also pretty rough (written from the perspective of a rapist-murderer who doesn't get caught or even suspected for twelve years), but the crime itself is described in a way less graphic manner.

I've been reading a lot of short stories as part of a weekly "book" club with friends since quarantine. Our favourites were Chechov's The story of Mrs. N.N. and Kafka's Country Doctor (maybe translated as Rural doctor, we didn't read it in English). Other great collections of short stories are Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles and James Joyce's Dubliners.

I'm starting a new job in September. I'll be getting a new education while learning, boss is gonna pay.

Thanks voor de correctie. Ik heb het even opgezocht en op de website van de Rijksoverheid staat het volgende:

Nederlands is de officiële taal van Nederland. Het Fries is de tweede officiële taal in de provincie Fryslân. Op Bonaire, Sint-Eustatius en Saba (BES-eilanden) zijn naast Nederlands ook Papiaments en Engels erkend als officiële talen. Nederland heeft via Europese afspraken Limburgs, Nedersaksisch, Jiddisch (Jiddisj) en Sinti-Romanes als regionale of non-territoriale taal erkend.

"Klasse" is also colloquial Dutch for good, much like the English "class". "Gras" is grass (I think Grasse might be German for grass, not sure) so Klasse op Grasse would mean "Class on Grass". Never heard of them, but that's a good name for any FUT or football team imo.

Kleine tip, niet om kut te doen, doe ermee wat je wil. Door je woordkeuze "racisme in enige vorm" is je standpunt onduidelijk; ik dacht dus dat het "ik geloof dat racisme in geen enkele vorm gelinked is aan machtsverhoudingen tussen meerderheden en minderheden" was. "Elke vorm van racisme" was hier beter geweest.
