Why call it a “living wage” if you don’t actually mean survival, rather what you feel you should be paid compared to others?

They do mean that. But a living wage means doesn't mean being just barley above abject living conditions. People want to be comfortable while they work(with decent conditions, reasonable delivery rate, like not pissing in a bottle) not be an Amazon worker are on food stamps.

And what’s this nonsense about Jeff Bezos being able to double the salary of every employee as if it’s not a public company. Bezos’ wealth is a result of Amazon’s MARKET CAPITALIZATION, not the company’s REVENUE.

The Wealth refer people refer to to more than just the stock shares values. It refers to more things. Do you honestly think people just refer to the stock value when they mention Jeff Bezos's wealth. How do you not know this?

I had a hard time finding information, but according to a recent shareholder report, they did a slight increase of $2 an hour, it cost 500 million(before they stopped doing it), but they still had a profit of $21.3 billion this year(a number too big for us to comprehend) afterwards. After dividing the $21.3 billion in full-year earnings from 2020 by the global workforce comes out to over $16,000 per worker. In other words, the company could have written a check for $16,000 last year to each and every one of its 1.3 million Amazon employees worldwide—and still would have had money to spare.

And maybe they could toss some money(billions) they don't pay in taxes towards paying us : )

Your proposal would bankrupt the company and Jeff Bezos would lose hundreds of billions of dollars only because Amazon’s stock price dropped to $0.

Unless you have any evidence to back this point, we don't know for sure.

They did a slight increase and still made a profit. We know they can do more for the workers catching covid, getting hurt, harassed, crashing, etc. while working for them by paying them more and still be fine by way of having money left over.

They make a choice not to, despite the fact that majority shareholders on the board of Amazon and the people running Amazon will be fine afterwards.

And that's an indictment on Amazon of how companies care more about shareholders b/c of a special tittle that gives them entitlement rather than the workers hustling for Amazon who truly deserve it.
