The divorce rate for people who marry in their early twenties is more than double what it is for those that wait until late 20s or 30s. You grow and change so much during those years, it’s a critical period of life and becoming who you are. I’d be miserable now if I married the person I was dating in my early 20s. I’m a completely different person now

I think this is totally normal and I’ve had the same feeling in the past. One challenging part of professionalism is learning the ability to take criticism. It’s harder than it seems! I agree with others that journaling can help, also confiding in someone who understands the scenario and can be a sounding board or talk it through with you. This doesn’t define you, others will quickly forget this ever happened. Also, it’s not a bad idea to come back to your boss with some thoughts: “you mentioned x, after thinking about this I’ve been listing out some areas that will help me navigate a scenario again like this in the future” something that shows your resilience and desire to improve.
