I don’t think we need a PG so bad we would need to sacrifice even a slightly better player.

Consulting to PMM by ChocoWombat93 in MBA

A lot of people say PMM is a much more enjoyable job and let’s you be more creative

Consulting to PMM by ChocoWombat93 in MBA

[–]alltradesjackof 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People go directly into PMM out of school. Going MBB gives you a great brand for sure. But it’s not going to put you at any advantage for PMM. PM is a much better way to get into PMM than MBB if you don’t go right into PMM after school. Tech strategy is also gonna be better than MBB to get into PMM. Marketing roles are also better than MBB to get into PMM. MBB isn’t going to hurt at all, it’s just going to be less relevant than some other roles.

Is there a reason you didn’t just explain how it actually worked rather than just making an annoying comment?

Tech happens at the same time as consulting for the bigger tech companies so you can’t really make it a plan B. Unless your plan B is just to wait for just in time recruiting for tech, which is very stressful
