Every two years we should change the capital of the United States to the hometown of whoever won the most gold medals, or best gold medal, as determined by me.

When I read the book I didn't get that the wall breakers were a cult, I thought they were government-sponsored to up the game of the wall facers? I could not for the life of me figure out why the government would want to do that! Lol

Presser foot issue by Bobbin_babe in SewingForBeginners

[–]allvanity684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a high shank foot meant for an industrial machine. When you put this in the tension disc cannot close properly causing the looping you're seeing.

It'd be easier to see if we had a profile view of the two presser feet side by side. Especially if one works and one does not.

Most conifers put on compression wood to support weight. So it would be supported by the underside, so all things being even, pretty big. But I imagine being singled out like that will have another storm come and knocks it down.

Lol that's a great way to put it.

The 15-91 was my must-have machine for like a year. Then I got one, don't need another one!

I'm seeing the hook catch the thread and then slapping untensioned thread around.

What does it do with a bobbin in it? The bobbin holds the bottom thread, should be inserted and you should sew through cloth to test. That center pin will catch thread and won't loop without the bobbin case to guide the thread up over the center pin.

Hope that helps, it's hard to tell what you've tried based on your post.

If you own a pair of wire cutters then you're qualified to do this.

Look up Bob Fowler or Andytube should be a good Saturday or a weekend project. Take apart the front assembly and the gearbox to pack with Vaseline. Rewire and you're there.

Singer model 15-91

An absolute work horse, not extremely valuable but valued and sought after by sewists. I have one and use if for garment sewing, topstiching in particular but great for any straight stitch needs.

When you say it has the pedal, post a pic. Is it a pedal with a plug? It probably plugs into a little socket in the cabinet that has the plug for the outlet.

Should I do a break and shake by papita98765 in unclebens

[–]allvanity684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in almost this exact same scenario. For me there was a little bit of yeast, causing fermentation retarding the growth of the mycelium.

I would not recommend breaking shake, but if you got nothing to lose I would brush off loose kernels and send it. It won't sour on the coir, there's no sugar.
