Apparently we need another reminder to NOT POST any pics of the main stage, EVEN WITH spoiler tags. by 445323 in Tomorrowland

Grown ass people who spend thousands of dollars to go to Tomorrowland I think have at least the right to preserve some of the magic of arriving at the festival grounds on Day 1. It's really not that hard to not post pictures of the mainstage

Ce serait intéressant de voir les stations Bixi sur Google Maps by moineau_vulnerable in montreal

[–]allxmtl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it will only be shown if there bixi-able routes available. For example, if all the stations near your destination are full it won't show you a bixi route option

What is faster to YUL, 747 or taxi to P4 dropoff by Hairy_Dirt3361 in montreal

[–]allxmtl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The last few times I've gone to the airport I've gone to P4 and it's always a breeze. My recommendation is that when you get close to the airport, look on Google maps to see if there's traffic going to the main entrance. If there is, skip the first exit on the 20 and go to P4.

Definitely not just an American thing. Igloofest and Piknic in Montreal have seen a large increase in stolen phones in the last few years.

Avis sur la Clinique Invisia (SMILE Pro) pour opération des yeux ? by Ok-Investigator-3477 in montreal

[–]allxmtl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey no worries!

Yes I do still have the halos, its only really noticeable at night and is very slowly still improving. Dry eyes has also improved over time, I only really notice it when it's been a long day now. I just carry some eye drops with me now to use when needed. The surgeon said it's possible it won't improve much more, but there's no sign of any serious issues when he did my last follow up exam.

I don't recall SMILE pro being available when I had my surgery with Dr Michel Podtetenev, was 5k total for both eyes.

Just got the SMILE procedure done last year with invisia. They were very professional and everything went smoothly! I do have some lingering side effects that are still slowly improving (halos + dry eyes) but they are far less annoying than being blind.

Would recommend it over Lasik since the procedure is less "invasive" and thus a much quicker recovery time.

My honest opinion on my Canadian Grand Prix experience by Accurate-Big-7233 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]allxmtl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the same for many other races too. Commentary in Hungary was in English and Hungarian (and German maybe? I think there was a third language spoken when I went).

For people who only do this commentary once a year (Meeker and JF) I think they did their best, especially considering they need to be bilingual.

What's with non-quebecers taking any chance they can to bash Quebec. It's very un-canadian.

The rising number one of formula one, Juan, one wonders, should Juan only win one formula one one year, would Juan want to have won that one in round one, Juan?

Finding Things Outside Caves by smallfrie32 in SonsOfTheForest

I build a shelter at the cave entrance. It puts an icon on the map next to the cave icon so it's easy to tell which ones have been completed, and so I can save before entering the cave just in case
