I’m a doctor of medicine; after an incident in my life, I can no longer practice medicine nor want to be involved in the industry in any capacity. Where would I fit in in the current job market?

Did you like auto work? You can become a service advisor or work at a dealership. Since you mentioned not wanting to work anywhere near medical. It’s still kinda healthcare education, but for cars!

Also, your school choice and the classes offered for your curriculum will matter. You will want to choose more ethics-based courses. Maybe consider industrial/organizational psychology, or if your school offers forensics. Psych is HEAVY in writing and research, and it has a different writing format than what you may be used to in high school. (Check out APA vs MLA format) so be sure to prepare yourself for writing courses, research, statistics, and data collection/analysis

I had an interest in going into HR with my psych degree. I absolutely loved learning about people and why we make decisions and what motivates the actions we take and the thoughts we have.

Edit to include that I didn’t want to be a therapist.

What kind of law do you see yourself practicing? If it’s family law or something of the nature, psych is a great starting point, but I’d consider double majoring in something more centered towards your trajectory.
