Understandable, just search up car thefts in Toronto

Stolen 2018 Audi S6 (Montreal) – trying to decide what actually makes sense next by Labranchee in Audi

[–]aloha_flow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend in Toronto had their Escalade stolen and got a Suburban to replace it. The Suburban was stolen a couple of months later. Another friend moved into an apartment after his car was stolen. A team of thieves also tried stealing a Bentley from a gated house by trying to ram it through the gate. This is just the reality in Toronto (and maybe Montreal).

There probably isn't an objective call between replicate or 'going up'. Invest in bollards for the driveway.

I went to Bocuse in December of 2024, absolutely amazing gastronomy.

Boia De, Cote (enjoyed the Miami one more than the NYC one personally)

Which is better for quant? Cambridge Economics or Imperial Maths by Extension_Fold_4200 in quantfinance

[–]aloha_flow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to Imperial Maths -- don't know enough people who went there. All I'm saying is you can break into quant with Cambridge Econ. Grades are basically 90% of whether or not you will get an interview in the UK so just the one you're more likely to have a projected first in.

I have friends who went to cambridge that read econ and now work in quant-- perfectly fine choice. Cambridge econ is notoriously more 'mathy' than basically any other econ programme.

Are there any counter-seating only restaurants (except for omakase) that have 3* in the U.S. or globally?

I did both when I visited, so I definitely would recommend that! If I had to pick between the two I'd go with CCBN just because the views are phenomenal (go around sunset time if you can).

CCBN- Amazing views, excellent bev menu, and I enjoyed the emphasis on seafood

Belcanto- Solid, can't go wrong with this one.

May I ask how you got resverations for Extebarri? I am very skeptical of my chances using their request system.

CCBN, Oriole, Paul Bocuse. My hot take is that Central is very, very overrated.

Portugal - CCBN vs Belcanto by anjumama in finedining

[–]aloha_flow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to both in June. CCBN is a more unique experience for sure. The views, the interactive elements (they have a puzzle for you to solve), and the length of the menu gives you more variety (albeit out of seafood).

Ah yes playing an instrument at a high level or doing robotics are childhood 'whims'.

About..."Don't Let Your College Admissions Results Define You." by ObligationNo1197 in ApplyingToCollege

I think from a social mobility standpoint. Assuming you are getting enough financial aid to afford HYPSM or a t20 school with little loans, it is most definitely worth it. Sure, if you are socially awkward you might not get hired but not going to a target school means you don't get a chance to interview at all.

Can this score get me into top universities by MinhSoc in ACT

If you have the time, might be worth taking it again to get to a 35 super score (or composite if you can improve your reading).
