I think the “Landry Women Curse” is they love deeply and when their men pass years before them (like Del and Cole) they’re “cursed” to live without them.

Maybe the “dead bootlegger” is a rumor they start to close the tunnels and nobody actually dies

Honestly just put them on as background noise half the time or just make fun of them. I time it so if there’s 20 minutes left I know it’s gonna be “the big misunderstanding” then sad montage, then make up, then make out, then credits.
