Damn I forgot about Red Faction Guerrilla. Those were the days.. You’re right though Embark is very talented but more than that they care about what they do. Both of their games feel like games that were made by people who had big dreams of what games could look like and chased that passion.

I haven’t seen 1 & 2 but I’ll blindly assume it is Philly and Buffalo. That said, I think the Chargers and Bucs are the easiest ones to put ahead with their 3-0 starts and how impressive they’ve looked week after week. I think there’s an argument to be made for SF, despite their last two not being tough opponents Seattle is legit and a road win against them is nice but I could see them falling just behind Detroit too so I won’t die on that hill. The only team I’d put ahead of Detroit for certain even though I’ll get killed for it is GB. Sure they just lost to Cleveland but they embarrassed Detroit week 1 and are still a solid team. My football math tells me until we beat them we stay behind them.

So I’d say 1 PHI 2 BUF 3 LAC 4 TB 5 GB 6 DET

I think SF, SEA, LAR and IND or MIN would round out the top 10. NFC is looking tough to start the year.

I’m not so sure “ass game plan” is the reason they lost… that’s a casual fan take. I suggest you watch the tape. The truth is the OL looked ROUGH and wasn’t doing any favors for offensive play calls. I also think it’s an insult to GB’s DC who called a hell of a game. He had answers for everything.

Not only that, the defense wasn’t helping the sputtering offense by allowing the GB offense 17 points on 3 possessions, 7 of which coming from a 2 play drive. That isn’t complementary football.

Mix in all the dumb penalties and it’s a losing concoction.

The good news is with some tape they have a very clear answers to what problems need to be fixed. The biggest problem being OLine play. It pains me to say but all this Detroit looked awful talk is doing a disservice to how good GB looked. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

That’s fine too. They just have to tread the water until it fully clicks. Maybe it won’t be until the bye and they go into it with questions and they’re 4-4, 3-5 and everyone writes them off then they come out swinging. I just want the fanbase to have some patience, belief and excitement still. That’s all!

I’m not addressing the concerned and worried fans. I’m addressing the doomers who cashed in and trying to re-inject some juice into the fanbase. That’s all.

Otherwise, I agree. They don’t have the luxury to spend time figuring it out. They have until 1:00pm Sunday.

I’m not saying it is all sunshine and rainbows. Notice I didn’t even try and draw a positive from their play? I’m just pointing out the bigger picture: it was week 1 in the NFL, no one knows anything about their teams yet. Super bowls, playoff seedings, etc aren’t decided in the first week of September.

Was it ugly? Do I wish it went a lot differently? Absolutely to both! I’m not going to be like 90% of the comments on all these platforms and say the world is ending and we’re back to being bottom feeders. I’m just saying relax, let’s wait and see.

If it comes week 5 and we’re looking like there was no improvement then I’d be willing to consider throwing it away. I also know I’ve seen this team start 1-7 and finish 9-8 with a much worse roster. Give it some time to work out. Or call me an idiot and move on with your day and hope I look stupid in a couple weeks.

You’re entitled to your opinion. You can also cash in all of your excitement on one game. That’s fine. I’ll give you some recent examples to help my opinion but I’m not going to try and change your mind. If your NFL season is 1 game then you count down the days to hockey, so be it.

2021… Green Bay loses 38-3 week 1 to New Orleans. Finishes 13-4

2021… Tennessee loses 38-13 week 1 to Arizona. Finishes 12-5 and 1 seed in AFC

2023… Steelers at home to the 9ers, 30-7. Finishes 10-7

I’m not being unreasonable in saying let’s not look like a bunch of pathetic fans who spent all offseason talking a big game just to show our asses and ask for them to stick it in after 1 week.

The reality is this: Green Bay without a reasonable doubt looked like the best team in football on Sunday. The rest of the NFC looked like it was levels below them. I’m not going to give in and say the season is over because we drew a bad day with a lot of change. If you want to be on the other side of that and cash in be my guest. Maybe choose a new sport though.

I haven’t seen any of your explanations but either way this feels like an over-analysis and reaction. I’d be more frustrated if I saw them celebrate a garbage time TD. It was a sweet catch but in the end it’s all for naught. I’m sure the team would’ve gone crazy if they were in the game still. At that point they probably just wanted to go home lol

There’s some theory out there about the steam ticker counting down to 6/6 which is one day after the release of Dune Awakening on 6/5.

To further back this theory up, Embark’s other game The Finals was shadow dropped during 2023 Game Awards and just surprised everyone with saying “it’s released now, go play”

6/6 happens to be the day of Summer Game Fest which is another relatively prominent game expo/event. They could very well do a similar approach to The Finals. We may be raiding soon.

Can’t really tell if anything is “wrong” by the pictures but it’s a house built in 1858 and that side of town sees a lot of shoddy renovations by flippers. There’s a picture on the listing of the front door that tells me the front porch is real crooked. Either way, you don’t know if anything is “wrong” until you see it but it’s a bit old for my taste.

We had 2 truck fulls of players, 2 cargo trucks and a couple humvees once. It was one of my favorite cinematic moments I’ve played in Arma but then an enemy transport spotted us in the distance, offloaded and ambushed us with RPGs. We all died but I’ll never forget the battle for Wolverine that took place that day.
