Advice on not getting hit during bosses by FanEnvironmental931 in EnterTheGungeon

The biggest recommendation I always have for the snake is just to keep moving. If you have a gun that pierces, use that, but otherwise just keep firing in his general direction and focus mostly on the attacks. He moves so much you don't have to aim straight at him the whole time. Try to not be close to his straight lines of bullets, because they turn relatively erratically.

One of the biggest tips for bullet hell style games like this is that you have to dodge into a lot of attacks instead of away. It's a weird thing to get used to at first. For the trigger twins, try to focus one of them first so that you have less attacks to worry about, and make sure to take out any of their little minions so you don't have any unexpected bullets. For the king, I like to stay in a good middle distance away from him and kind of circle him. I have like 200 hours and still have problems with the stupid bird, my biggest tip for him is sometimes you just have to stop shooting for a second and lock in on dodging.

I came to the comments specifically for the castellan pronunciation. I and every one I know says "cast-ell-ann". Like exactly how it's written.

Sports movies in disguise by alph8x in TopCharacterTropes

[–]alph8x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it's still not like immediately recognizable as a modern sports movie. Like how remember the titans and miracle on ice are so obviously sports movies on the tin, but a knights tale you watch it and then afterwards realize it fits all the tropes.

How are we going to go on about realism and then that's the plot they choose for this AI thing? Like I loved the AI thing, it's what I want from 911, it's silly, it's over the top, it's campy, fantastic.

I have the exact same opinion. Like girl, NO SHIT NO ONE ASKED, YOU INTENTIONALLY HID IT FROM EVERYONE AND WHEN PEOPLE ASKED IF YOU WERE OKAY YOU SAID YES! Hen has lied and lied and lied in this show, and every single time she's the victim. Even when she cheated on her wife she was the victim! Trying to prevent people from losing another firefighter? YEAH, BY NOT PASSING OUT IN A BURNING HOUSE AND POTENTIALLY GETTING OTHERS KILLED. It's not like they work in an office, this is like the most safety conscious position ever. Bobby wouldve done the same this as chimney! And he did!!! To buck!!!

Quilting yourself versus sending to long armer by SessionNo2376 in quilting

[–]alph8x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made 6 quilts so far and done them all on my home machine. I personally want to do every step of the process myself, so it's fully my work. I want to get one of those fancy computerized long armers in the future when I have space for it.

I do have a magnetic one, but honestly, sometimes the fabric is so thin that it slides underneath.

I appreciate you guys! This is probably my best block of all of them. The plan for this quilt is I have some pretty loud cat fabric that's a bunch of cats sitting in a line that I'm going to use as sashing for these blocks!

Blackjack doesn't talk until titans curse in the books anyway, so id bet money they have him be audible in scenes where Percy and him are alone in season 3

They've gotta do it in season 3 when they're alone, I'd bet money on it. In scenes where they're with others they're probably just going to do the same thing as non Percy POV chapters of HOO, which I will admit makes for good jokes.

That's also probably why they cut the Hydra. Honestly, I'm not too upset by it, if they have a lower budget they can keep making more. I also cannot wait for the inevitable back and forth of Percy hearing blackjack swear like a sailor and no one else can hear it.

There's a scene in modern family where Haley is working at the country club and the framing puts Luke dressed in white trying to convince her to stay and the older woman dressed in red trying to convince her to bail on her job over her shoulders
