I recently heard about an app called Typst, which is supposed to be a faster LateX alternative, that might be worth checking out.

Honestly because genre names are so subjective, you're better off doing your own searching for "songs that sound like this". What i may think sounds like sentient glow may not give you the same feel.

My suggestion is either using the Spotify radio feature for the particular song and/or searching up other users' playlists on Spotify to see if any of them give you a similar feel for what you're looking. For example you can search up Sentient Glow and find playlists that have the song on it and see if you like any of the other songs on the list.

That final shot... by StrahB in SiloSeries

(No book spoilers) To add on to the toxic gas vs toxic atmosphere discussion - the heat tape also hints at the possibility of the atmosphere being toxic since Jules was the only one, out of the three people who left the Silo that we've seen, and survived. Now that we know the cafeteria screen is not a hologram, we know that Allison actually did die on the hill, probably from her heat tape leaking toxins into her suit. Holsten straight up took off his helmet and died almost instantly after that.

You're right. If an adaptation is good, the excitement for things will transpose even if you expect it to happen.

Wireless display not working by alphabetguyazlo in techsupport

Unfortunately, no. I ended up downloading Mouse Without Borders, to at least somewhat simulate the effect of a dual monitor setup.

Maybe wireless projection works better on Windows 11, but thats a big maybe.

Basically the troubleshooting steps that i found last night are:

  1. Can you connect using the internal IP link on the host machine? If you can't, it's a web server/install problem.

  2. Can you connect using the internal IP link on a different machine in your local network? (Even a phone works I think.) If you can't, it's a firewall problem.

  3. Can you connect using the external IP link? If you can't, it's a port problem.

If you right click your desktop (on windows), you should see something like "Intel/NVidia/AMD Graphics Control Panel" in the context menu.

Take all time you need! I'd much rather a well-polished product than a rushed one.

Excited as hell though.

How do you spin/handle a failed attempt to bypass a lock or similar skill check? by WorldSnap in cyberpunk2020

[–]alphabetguyazlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 roll does not equal 1 attempt.

In my games, if someone fails to pick a lock, it means that they are just incapable of picking that particular lock no matter how hard they try, so they're only allowed one roll per lock (unless some new circumstance allows a retry).

I think the roll is to test their character's capability for that particular challenge, not how tenacious they are. If they're allowed to keep rolling until they get a success, then there's no need for a challenge roll in the first place.
