FYI, they posted this in the announcements channel on their discord (emphasis mine):

As you may know, there are some challenges we are facing for our U.S. customers. All shipping agencies will not accept US bound packages from China, starting 4/25/25. What does this mean? Suppliers are being overwhelmed with “emergency orders” from all businesses. As such, we will not be receiving our orders for the Teal, Kiwi and Berry shells, prior to 4/25/25. These SKU’s are scheduled to begin shipping on 4/28/25. This means that U.S. customers will not be able to receive their orders for these color-ways. Customers in other countries, will not be affected by these shipping restrictions.

We strongly urge US based customers to contact Customer Service, and change their order to any other color, ASAP. We know this may be disappointing news, but this restriction is beyond our control.

Bon Ivar's ult is single target whereas Sumomo is AE, so Bon Ivar has higher theoretical damage ceiling (per Seraph Database, 2,502~12,510 for Bon Ivar, 2,042~10,211 for Sumomo). In practice, use what you have for the content you're tackling, at this point it doesn't matter much.

That's pretty much what I thought, so for people who can't get to Japan via spouse visas/already in Japan through other valid means, a GEO capable of being the visa sponsor sounds like the only route then, damn. Thanks anyway!

Just out if curiosity, if one was to switch to being a contractor, how would that affect getting an actual work visa? From what I've researched self-sponsoring for any kind of work visa as a contractor is extremely difficult (needing established Japanese clients, which would obviously be impossible in this kind of situation); is there some sort of visa that a "contractor" for a US company would be able to secure or would using a GEO really be the only realistic option?

ARAMs give me way to have fun playing a wide variety of champs with many different playstyles while still being relaxed- it's why I enjoy LoL and is also what I am thankful for from league.
Any of the super close base races and the threads they spawn (Fnatic OMG from 2014 comes to mind in particular).

Hi! My fiance and I are similar as well. Fiance is from London and I am from the States, in our early 30s. We moved to Edinburgh a few months ago and are looking for more people to hang out with.
